This hotel is a small treasure hidden in DC. It has a great location, 5 mins walking from the metro station and from the major attractions. Room always clean and rpesentable. Loved the stay

My wife and I are planning and leisure vaction trip and the end of July to Washington. We just finished booking a reservation to the State Plaza Hotel with the reservation agent named Bharat. We were impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail that Mr. Bharat gave us. We are both professionals and both agree that this his attention... More

We were very pleased with this hotel. Great location, comfortable beds, and helpful staff. Long wait for elevators, so would suggest a ground floor if you have a choice. We were there for the 4th of July weekend, there is a 24 hr CVS next door where you can pick up snacks, etc. The hotel has an equipped kitchen (but... More

I had already read great reviews about this hotel. I just experienced some of that great service. Because of a change in plans, I needed to cut my stay short at the State Plaza. I had locked in a good rate back in April, but needed to change to shorter stay, so I called in on July 10th to do... More

The hotel is located very conveniently at the epicenter of Washington DC's main monuments and memorials. This was a great advantage for us, since the focus of our trip was to see the monuments. The hotel itself was clean, the beds were firm/comfortable, and it was great having a kitchen attached to the room. The room cleaning service was a... More

We have stayed twice in the last two weeks at the State Plaza (on the F Street side), once for a family vacation and again for Colonial Inauguration at The George Washington University, which our daughter will be entering this fall. And because of that, we'll be back to the State Plaza again and again. The rooms are simple but... More

The rooms are spacious and clean with a full kitchen. Some of the bathrooms have vanities or extra large bathrooms. The beds are comfortable (I stayed in more than one room). It was such a pleasant surprise to find eager, friendly, helpful staff.

We stayed at the State Plaza for 6 nights. DO NOT HAVE BREAKFAST/BRUNCH BUFFET AT THE BISTRO! The service was HORRIBLE! The two young men that worked there had no sense of urgency or customer service skills. The worst part about it was that they include a tip in the bill eventhough they didn't deserve one! That being said, the... More

The hotel is in a good position. I would rather have stayed in Georgetown (much more charming) but I was recommended this hotel by the people I was working with. The rooms are ok, they may need to be updated a bit, but overall this wasn't the reason why I didn't like the hotel. It was the people behind the... More

The Hotel is all you could want in the DC area. We stayed seven nights and loved everything about the hotel. From the moment we walked in to the time we checked out the staff was so helpful and nice. They always had a smile and helpful advice. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. There was no A/c in... More
