My sister, her 2 teenage daughters and I stayed for 2 nights at the State Plaza Hotel and we loved it!! I found a package deal on their website - "Get Up and Go". The cost was $99/night and it included: 2 queen beds, parking, newspaper, 2 breakfasts each morning and internet. We also loved the kitchenette and having the... More

The price was great for the weekends. However, the $30 parking fee was a hidden cost that was not revealed until we arrived. The rooms were very clean although it is an older hotel. The hallways can smell from the restaurant that is on the first floor. They were very clean and comfortable. The location was great for sightseeing in... More

You will have to carry your kids strollers up 5 or 6 steps to get to the elevator. I suppose if that was my only issue I’d just bite the bullet and shut my mouth. What really bugs me is the $30.00 per night parking fee! I booked through Orbitz (that will never happen again) and there was no indication... More

For the money and location it's a good deal. Within walking distance to all of the highlights of DC or the subway. Fitness center is just a closet with a treadmill....certainly nothing to speak of. Elevators and common areas could have been cleaner

This hotel is small on price and big on space. We stayed here for 6 nights and paid $100 per night before tax. We rented 2 bikes for 5 days and we were able to park the bikes in the room and still have plenty of space to move around. We loved everything about the room. Huge comfy king bed,... More

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, nice large suites with little kitchens, great value for the the price. We were able to walk to some of the museums and sites (a bit of a hike on a hot day), but directly around the hotel there is not a lot of nightlife. You are right on the George Washington university... More

My family and I spent one night in DC on our way to MD. We wanted to go sight seeing so we booked the State Plaza Hotel since it is centrally located around all of the places we wanted to visit. Driving to the National Mall and Georgetown from the hotel only took about 5 minutes. The Metro is about... More

From the minute we entered the foyer, until we waved a fond farewell to the Bell captain - we knew we had finally experienced American hospitality at its best! During a holiday tour of East Coast America, we spent just 2 nights here - but the staff were all so friendly. Now, I'm not talking saccharine- synthetic - "Have a... More

So much room! Great for teens who like to stay up late. Two flat screen TVs, kitchen, dining & living room, dressing area, large bedroom and rainhead shower! This apt has so much space for a whole family. Clean suite, great location, helpful staff. Would definitely recommend! Will stay here again!

Roomy, clean, separate kitchen and dining area...little extras that made us feel we were in a 5 Star Hotel. The staff was helpful, courteous, friendly. Quiet. It was quiet and we slept. A (24-hour) CVS two doors down makes this hotel ultra convenient AND the hotel is within a 10 minute walk to the Metro at George Washington University Hospital.... More
