I recently stayed at the state plaza hotel. My friend and I both booked rooms there for an event taking place at GWU. The staff is well trained. It has two entrances that look the same but are on different streets. One if the entrances is F street, the other is E street. of course not a big deal once... More

This time, I stayed a few steps from the reception. Advantages: no waiting for the elevator, proximity to the CVS drug store. State Plaza still has the things I like: efficient reception (I got three packages this week), good wireless connectivity, lots of TV on cable, and a well equipped kitchenette. To save money, buy food in the drugstore and... More

Got an awesome rate on Hotwire for $75 / night for a last minute Labor Day weekend trip. The Foggy Bottom metro is right around the corner and we were able to walk to museums and other attractions. There is also a Whole Foods and other dining options next to the metro stop. Our room was spacious and large for... More

This hotel exceeded my expectations. We stayed 2 nights. The staff was very friendly. The room was very spacious - 2 queen beds, a kitchen area, and a dressing room with a vanity. It was a great value and a great location. It is located in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood. Definitely will stay with them again.

I absolutely loved this hotel! My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 days. The location is perfect and there is a 24 hour CVS next door that sells everything. Our room, which looked like a 1 bedroom apartment was perfect. We had a kitchen...a full kitchen! A fridge, microwave, stove, sink, pots, pans, cooking and eating utensils. The staff... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, Aug 29- Sep 1, booked through Booking.com. We flew into Reagan airport and took the metro (take the Blue Line to the Foggy Bottom/GWU stop). It is about a 7-10 minute walk from Foggy Bottom metro stop to hotel. We arrived about 9:30 a.m., and while we could not yet check in, the front... More

This hotel is perfect for active travelers -- warm, helpful staff (front desk staff member Israel was so helpful with recommendations, directions, suitcase storage for a crazy schedule, and a request for a microwave), very comfortable beds, kitchen in the rooms, white-glove clean, bottled water every afternoon (PERFECT for DC summer days), good value, and easy walk to the west... My husband, our toddler and I stayed at the State Plaza Hotel for an extended weekend visit in June, 2014. We chose a suite with a king-sized bed. We flew in to Ronald Reagan airport, so it was really handy that the hotel was close to Foggy Bottom metro station. It was a short ride from the airport (about 15... More

We booked for 2 nights at State Plaza Hotel over the weekend. This place was surprisingly clean and cozy. Everything looks updated! It had a small equiped kitchen which was very convenient. The beds were extremely comfortable. I'm giving a 4 stars because parking was ridiculously priced at $40. Thankfully we were able to avoid by finding a parking spot... More

We selected this property for its guaranteed on-site parking, proximity to the Lincoln Memorial, and relatively low cost. And we got exactly what we expected: spacious, and clean, but soul-less, somewhat dated and sterile accommodations at a good price. The rooms have full kitchens, which could be a big plus for families with young children or those on a budget,... More
