I think that the tittle of my review says everything I would like to share. The unique negative point is that Internet is charged to your room with a very high price of Usd 16,00. I do not agree with Internet payments in hotels nowadays, It must be included in the daily cost of your room.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during our round trip of the USA. The hotel is close to all monuments and places of interest which makes it easier to commute. Furthermore during our stay my wife had influenza, and the waitress at the lobby was very courteous in providing her with hot water and honey and giving me... More

Stayed here while in DC for a Labor Day weekend conference. Enjoyed it much more than I would have the conference hotel...lobby and rooms are well done in a contemporary style. Staff is very friendly. And a great many wonderful restaurant options within a five minute walk. I would stay again.

Stayed here with my teenage daughter for a visit to American University, Perfect location to do that and visit The Phillips Collection. Especially nice attendant in the Club Lounge. Good Valet Attendants. The front desk recommended the Chinese food restaurant across the street and it was terrible. The rooms are fine but body of the hotel seems a little tired.... More

I have stayed at this hotel nearly a dozen times in the last few years. My check in experience was awful. I had 2 rooms reserved (connecting rooms) on the concierge lounge level. One I paid cash for the other I used points for. They weren't able to honor my connecting/concierge requests (I'm also a marriott rewards gold member). After... More

Our first visit to Washington DC for our daughter's 21st birthday and we stayed at the Renaissance Hotel Dupont Circle. Got a taxi from Dulles airport cost $65. Arrived at the hotel to be greeted very nicely by James who checked us in immediately. He gave us a map and information on the area with useful advice. The room was... More

Before arriving at the renaissance I thought the hotel would be fairly average as many chain hotels are these day. However on arrival the front desk staff (Eric in particular) made our check in experience very pleasant and we immediately felt welcome. The follow up phone call to our room to ensure everything was OK was also a nice touch,... More

Friendly service. OK business hotel, not really up to Renaissance standards, more like a decent Marriott. Not really in Dupont Circle, actually closer to Washington Circle. Not convenient to Metro if that is what you are looking for. I would not stay there as a tourist unless you get a great deal on the room price. Indian restaurant across the... More

Docsam, Thank you for your review! DuPont Circle is our neighborhood but you are right- Washington Circle is just as close, as well as Georgetown not being too far of a walk. We are four and a half blocks from two metro stations DuPont Circle and Foggy Bottom. DuPont Circle metro is the red line and Foggy Bottom metro is... More

Very convenient location super friendly staff and a good, but a little pricey breakfast buffet. ($21, but it is DC. Look for the breakfast packages they have.) Also beware of the $49 a night valet charge. Eat across the street at the Indian spot raskiki. AMAZING. The spinach is a must try.

I stayed at the Renaissance for two days for a conference. It was fine. They warned in advance that the room was "European style," which means small. It was OK - about the size of a standard cruise ship cabin. I had forgotten my charger for my tablet, so was forced to use the hotel's computers. There were free computers... More
