I stayed here for a mini reunion with friends. I struggled with exactly what review to give this hotel. As Marriotts go, I'd rate it as just average, but compared to similar hotels, it's somewhere above average but not quite "very good". The biggest pluses are the location (you can walk to the metro and get to just about anywhere... More

I stayed in this hotel for a business conference. Both the conference price of the room and the cost of breakfast put an audit alert on my expense report. I had a barely edible supper in the hotel restaurant which is just a menu brought to you in the lobby. The rooms are small with a poor layout. The rooms... More

Can't beat the neighborhood and location - quiet, safe, and easy walking distance to a ton of stuff happening in Georgetown AND Dupont Circle! Rooms are on the small side but not nearly as small as some have described... not like Europe or New York City. You get the space you need, not more or less. Rooms are very clean... More

For all the people who design hotel rooms who are reading this: Two words-MAKE-UP MIRROR. Does anyone hire women, or consider women's needs, when designing hotel rooms? Marriott gives this hotel a Category 6, and most sites give it four stars. In what world? One where women don't travel? Whether its business or pleasure, there are certain amenities that make... My company had our annual conference here in mid-April. Let me start by saying that the banquet staff is absolutely amazing. They catered to our ever need. Anything we asked for, within minutes, we had it. If you are considering doing a workshop or conference at this particular hotel, look no further. The rooms are on the smaller side, but... More

I've been on travel quite a lot to DC lately and had some bad experiences. BUT, this was a breath of fresh air for me, nice room, everything clean, bed very comfy and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. The hotel is really close to the Foggy Bottom metro and near some good restaurants. You can't go wrong with... More

Stayed four nights at this hotel last week. Booked through Priceline.com. Looked for a great place to stay in Washington DC for celebrating my wife's 60th birthday. Very comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. I had a plan when I arrived and it worked. What did I do? I said I'm looking for a bigger room and wanted something special... More

While the room was smaller than I am used to while staying in Washington, it was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel was within walking distance to many locations in the Capitol that I needed to get to and also close to the GWU metro location. More

We were in a room off the street and worried about the walls being too thin since we could hear the folks in the next room. Neither was an issue and woke up well rested each night. The beds, linens and pillows where really comfortable. Enjoyed the Aveda products in the bathroom. The location was perfect and a few minutes... More

Arrived in the capital via the Blue Line from Washington National at the Foggy Bottom stop. An enjoyable walk to the Renaissance. I found the check in flowed very well. Over three nights, I interacted with four employees in the lobby and found them all to be helpful, professional and attentive. The concierge assisted me ideas to kill a couple... More
