Spent 2 nights at the Renaissance Hotel Washington DC in March 2009. Had stayed in the Grand Hyatt just round the corner from Renaissance last autumn. Have to say that although the Grand Hyatt's foyer/lobby is definitely more grand and perhaps a bit more lavish, both hotels are equally at par with each other. Both are near the Metro Centre... more

First let me say that I won this hotel on Priceline for $69. They honored my request for a room with to beds on a high floor The location is great. Right near the Gallery Place Metro and within walking distance of all the tourist sites. The lobby was nice. The room was clean. The employees were friendly. What more... more

I thought the rooms were a little tired and definitely not 4 star quality. But having the hotel across the street from the conference center was very convenient. The gym facilities were very nice and complimentary. There were lots of treadmills and ellipticals with individual tv screens, as well as weight machines and free weights. I managed to get a... more

Even though we live in the DC Metro area, we decided to spend a night in DC for two reasons: 1) we were seeing an evening performance of a play and; 2) we needed one more night to maintain our current level in the Marriott Rewards program. Ten Marriott properties were showing availability on the night of the play and... more

Nice Hotel, close to downtown monuments, walking distance to White House. Clean room, Expensive, but convenient parking at $25 a night charged to your CC on file at the hotel. A little noisy from traffic on the street, but I expected that in the city. Even though I thought this hotel was nice, next time I think I will stay... more

This is a very nice hotel - for the priceline rate we received. Please do not pay the regular hotel rate. Within walking distance to a lot of attractions. This hotel will nickel and dime you for everything. $5 for a bottle of water in your room? Please! Internet access should be FREE, not $12.95 a day. On the plus... more

What can I say...it's an okay hotel. From their website it seems like a really fancy and expensive hotel with some noted president from a long time ago having stayed or eaten there. You get nice clean rooms...but really tiny and not like the ones they show on their pictures. I guess everything in DC is expensive. The lobby and... more

This is actually a very good hotel and I only have one very big complaint. I stayed on the 6th floor. I have a 20 month old son who has a mid-day nap. I would stay with him while everyone else continued to sight-see. I think it was just this particular maid because I have never seen this before. Each... more

Stayed at the Renaissance from 4/5/09 to 4/709. Due to the high volume of guests at the hotel for the Cherry Blossom festivals, our room was not ready when we arrived at check in at 3 p.m. We were told to provide them with a contact number and they would call us when it became available. We were not too... more

The hotel is really nice, our room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. For the price we paid on priceline.com (£50 per night) we were very happy. Room service was good if you don't want to go out for a meal. There seemed to be a lot of business people around so I think this may be used... more
