I stayed at the Renaissance Washington DC for a 3 day work conference. When I checked in, Brittney greeted myself and coworker with an infectious smile. She asked if the 2nd floor was ok and I asked "Do you think it's ok?" She said she thought she could find us a higher floor with a view of the city and... More

I stayed at this hotel several years ago, and thought it was cool, swanky and new. Well, several years later, it seems as if it is a bit tired and in need of a refresh. Location was great. But other than that: rooms were old and not in keeping with the lobby; parking was 42 USD per day, food and... More

Dear londonlawyer75, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our hotel. We appreciate you returning to our hotel after many years! Our hotel guest rooms were recently renovated to reflect the lobby decor. You probably noticed the difference in design in our meeting rooms as we are currently renovating all our meeting space - this will... More

The Renaissance is adequate but not much more. It is ideally locate for conference attendees across Mt Vernon square, and it is downtown. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the reception area and bar is attractive enough. After that it gets less good. The whole place is rather poorly lit (gloomy), the decor in the public areas and rooms... More

Dear Godfrey S, Thank you for your feedback about our hotel. I certainly understand your concern about wifi pricing; however, internet is complimnentary in our lobby which is ideal for working, meeting and conducting business. Our hotel does change the lighting throughout the day; during the day, the lobby is lit for business but does dim with the mood of... More

Adjacent to the convention center. Excellent customer service. Also a few blocks to the Verizon Ctr and Chinatown. Rooms spacious with contemporary furniture. Nice restaurants nearby. Nice indoor parking with in and out privileges

This is a perfectly lovely hotel, with gorgeous funky lobby, shops, amenities. The bedrooms are decent sized rooms, lovely bathroom, comfortable large bed, safe, dressing gowns & slippers. Lobby was noisy over weekend due to a conference, so not relaxing in the evening, but pleasant on other days. Staff friendly & bar nice.

I came to this hotel for a business conference, and I needed to work out of the hotel room. However, my first room did not have a realiable internet connection. I called the front desk, and they connected me with tech support. After half an hour of waiting, they told me that they can't do anything, and offered to switch... More

Dear Daniel M, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our hotel. I certainly understand your frustration that the internet in your room was not up to your standard. We are currently in the process of upgrading our wifi in the hotel due to the continuing need for additional bandwidth and speed from our discoverers. I... More

Horrible really low connectivity didn't matter if it's in your room or in the lobby. This is a business hotel it has too be better. The bar is great as the rooms although small are functional the room needs more plugs for electronics. Did I mention the wifi was really poor?

I recently stayed at the Renaissance for a long weekend visit to Washington DC. The hotel is conveniently located and getting to museums and monuments is not a long walk. To see the White House is only a 10 minute walk. Chinatown is only two blocks and the hotel is convenient to the Metro Center or Chinatown Metro stations. The... More

I love the Renaissance hotels. This was our fav spot in this vacation. we spent two nights here and loved everything about it. It is very nice how close you are to restaurants, shops, monuments, and everything you could possibly want or need for your stay in DC.

The hotel is certainly nicely situated and the front desk staff very attentive. I did not care much for the "pull the fortune cookie" so you can get a treat. After all my Marriott status entitles me to those anyway. The internet in the rooms (not free) was not working. I was told that the "engineer" was going to come... More
