This is a recently updated hotel near the mall and White House. There is a big atrium meeting area plus meeting rooms and ballrooms for conventions. The rooms are very comfortable. Hotel staff are excellent. The presidents restaurant has interesting photos but service is only fair.

My family of 4 stayed here for 5 days. UPSIDE: Check-in was a breeze. Room was neat and cleaned well. Amenities included flat iron, fresh towels, extra pillows, bottled water. The lobby was grand with lots of sofas and chairs to lounge by. Git free wifi in the lobby area. Complimentary breakfast was good and heavy. Location is perfect if... More

I was recently here for a conference and we had rooms here. When I checked in, I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy, and was actually given an upgrade (without asking for one). I was given a mini-suite, which had a separate sitting area from the bedroom and two flat screen televisions. Everything was clean, the room smelled... More

Good service, adequate rooms, nice view of the Capitol Building. I was there during the great snow storm and the staff were very accommodating. Room service was not great but that's to be expected. The best thing about it is the location. I was able to get to my conference easily on foot, and was just minutes from the Mall... More

The Renaissance DC downtown hotel offers a contemporary, energetic environment with all of the amenities to make a business stay both productive and enjoyable. The work-out facility was large and amazing and the sports bar was a great place to meet with colleagues in the evening and catch-up on the scores. The rooms were spacious and provided sufficient work space... More

Hotel is clean, modern, and conveniently located to shopping, awesome restaurants, and a few museums. Cab ride to Reagan airport was $15, can ride from Dulles airport was $65. Walking distance to memorials although I don't recommend due to traffic and highways in the area. Hotel food was great but service was horrible on the sports bar. Room was clean... More

My first time staying in the downtown Washington DC area. This hotel is convenient clean and staffed well. The exercise facility is one of the best in any hotel that I have stayed in. I did not try the restaurant but the lobby bar is a gathering place for post meeting conversation and the appetizers looked great. Within two blocks... More

This is a lovely hotel in downtown DC. It has a Starbucks in the expansive lobby, plus a breakfast restaurant, and a sports bar/ restaurant with unusually good food. Nice gym on the third floor. Within walking distance of almost all the historical sights you want to see in DC. The BEST steak in town is a very short walk... More

Nicely decorated, vast, modern lobby with bar area. Welcoming staff. Rooms are very spacious, clean, decorated in neutral tones, highly functional. Executive lounge offers decent breakfast, but seating on couches not the most practical. All in all, a comfortable hotel, albeit quite expensive (admittedly, all hotels in DC are very expensive!)
