Arrival experience: Good, but busy staff at check in did not listen very attentively. Room (general): Large suite including wet bar, separate bedroom, living room with quality, although dated and moderately worn, furniture including desk and bookcase with real library. Bathroom: Spacious with marble floor and counter. Super clean. Bed: Great bed. Housekeeping: Excellent. Leave a tip, and the housekeeping... More

My husband and I stayed 3 nights from July into August 2010. The hotel is charming. A beautiful lobby and an attentive staff. We asked for a fridge for our room, but there was already one in our room. We ate a buffet brunch in the hotel on sunday and it was delicious! We also ordered room service another morning... More

Let me start off by saying I love historic hotels. The Mayflower Renaissance definitely fits the bill. It is showing signs of age and could use some work but the ambiance makes up for it. I was upgraded to a junior suite and it was spacious and comfortable. The location is great for sight seeing and the staff is happy... More

Enjoyed our stay at the Mayflower. We like hotels with a bit of history, and this one's got lots. (Monica Lewinsky and a certain former US President were photographed together here). It is built in typical 1920's style and is similar to the Drake in Chicago - but not quite as big. The lobby has chandeliers, flower arrangements and old... More

I stayhed here for only 1 night, mostly because the hotel were my conference was being held was full that night. The location is good for tourist activities, within easy walking distance of the White House. The staff were all extremely pleasant. The lobby in this historic hotel is beautiful. The room was pretty quiet, and the bed (with way... More

At first we were quite disappointed by the lack of service (no valet could be found at 1 am) and the discovery of a used ketchup packet on the floor, a bug crawling on the ceiling... not to mention a broken toilet seat. The rest of the stay turned the whole experience around. The toilet was fixed quickly and pleasantly.... More

We visited DC to see the fireworks on the 4th of July. We stayed one night. We were not very organized when we arrived....a little Ma and Pa Kettle-ish.....The staff was very cordial and accomodating. Which was nice. Because we did not really present a professional front. A+ to them. I thought our room was spacious enough (We were a... More

I got this hotel off Priceline. Great deal!!! I would NOT pay full price for it. Bed was very comfortable and hotel was really quiet. We did not hear anything during our night here. We stayed there for the 4th of July. Hotel is in PERFECT location for public transportation (we used the metro, different lines too). Parking was high... More

The concierge was fabulous, the check in staff were great, they gave us a big room when they saw we had baby gear, 4 blocks from the white house, trolley tour stops right at hotel entrance. bus stop and metro stop across the street for accessibility to all attractions. With that said, the room is totally clean and we spent... More

Spent 2 nights at the Mayflower in late May, 2010. I chose this hotel because I like old hotels, it good pretty good reviews, has a good location in DC and the price was right. No complaints. The rooms are nice, the beds are good and it still has old world charm. The only down sides were the price of... More
