My girlfriend booked the hotel for me as part of a birthday trip to D.C. We both loved the hotel. Read the hotels wikipedia page to learn the history info on the hotel. Because we were vacationing we weren't the most well dressed, but it was okay cause there was a spectrum of people. They had a restaurant with good... More

This property's lobby was to die for. What incredible architecture. Great location. It was beyond hot and humid while I was there and the AC struggled to keep up but it was way cooler than outside. The concierge was so helpful with finding a restaurant for dinner. He was knowledge about the area, dining and I was impressed his Italian... More

Sometimes you stay in a historic hotel and put up with creaky plumbing and faded wallpaper as part of the experience. Not so at the Mayflower, a Washington landmark completely outfitted to meet modern needs and tastes. We attended a family wedding at the hotel this past weekend and were overwhelmed at the beauty of the establishment with its glistening... More

I was very excited to be coming to DC and staying at the Mayflower for the weekend. The location was great and the price we received was outstanding. We walked into the lobby and was impressed. Then, we checked in... That is where being impressed ended... After we checked in (and encountered a not too nice front desk staff person),... More

First time staying in the DC area. Hotel location is excellent. However, room had a few defects, Leakey shower head and peeling wallpaper. Hotel room was cleaned but towels were not replaced and had to call front desk.. Cleanliness would have been higher if it wasn't for the roach that appeared during banquet. Expected more for a 4 star hotel.

We were here with a group for business and this was the perfect place to stay. The room was clean and well appointed, although a little small. But we had a king bed and some rooms with two queen beds were quite large. The food in the restaurant was delicious! It was easy walking distance to many attractions. Would love... More

I have stayed here many times, but things have fallen off. The wall mounted TV was crooked, and the cable service was in and out. Room was not vacuumed well. Bathroom was so narrow that my rear was nearly touching the shower curtain, and I'm not that big. AC was so loud I could hardly sleep, and it wouldn't shut... More

The Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington is superb. The block-long, chandelier encrusted foyer is breathtaking, the service is very good, the rooms are beautifully appointed and the location ideal – it’s a short walk to Washington’s excellent subway system and just a few blocks to some of the better restaurants in town. We were offered a complimentary upgrade and the... More

We had my daughter's wedding at the Mayflower--one of the guests referred to the event as "Shock & Awe". Everything was perfect. The staff couldn't have been nicer to us and our guests. Everyone loved the location--right next to the metro. The little touches provided by the hotel in the lobby, candy bar, complementary afternoon drinks, etc. This is the... More

The staff were lovely and extremely helpful, the let us know what was going on in the city, how best to see it. They helped to arrange a taxi to the airport. It was located in the heart of the city and although we used the Big Bus tour we could also walk to nearby attractions with ease. The only... More
