My family and I stayed at this hotel for five nights during Spring Break and only have positive things to say about the room (not huge but clean and well appointed) and lobby (magnificent). Our check in experience was friendly and the staff at the front door were also very pleasant. In addition, the hotel has hosted many inaugural balls... More

Just checked in and was told that my 3 people party (all grown ups) won't have a room with 2 queen sized beds but instead 1 king size and a rollaway. The rollaway was not in the room when we got there even though we spend quite some time getting our stuff out of the car. The rollaway bed is... More

On arrival, you'll find a beautiful, traditional Washington hotel with public areas that have been well maintained. The public areas on the first floor have beautiful chandeliers and gold trim, and you can see what this hotel was before it became part of a chain. I also attended business meetings at the hotel, and their meeting rooms are very accommodating,... More

Purpose of stay: I travel regularly on business, and booked a two night stay on business (elite status with Marriott, Starwood, Hyatt), with the Marriott being preferred due to locations within walking distance of meetings. Initial impression, Check-In: The lobby was nice, clean and everyone at the front desk was courteous, professional and friendly. Initial Assigned Room: Room appeared to... More

As frequent Marriott guests, my husband and I were very disappointed with this hotel. We arrived on a Friday evening and were immediately told they had no rooms for us due to a "maintenance problem" and had to relocate us to another Marriott hotel. There were people checking in all around us (clearly no maintenance problem), but we were the... More

Stunningly beautiful architecture, old world charm and all the infrastructure necessary to make this a first class experience... but for operations. 20 minutes in the check in line with 2 people staff on the desk and one completely engrossed in a dispute with an older woman over a 75 cent charge of some kind. All the while managers walked around,... More

For a business or pleasure trip this hotel will fit the bill. Executive rooms are spacious and comfortable. This is a Marriott property so they have a good club floor, breakfast, snacks, cocktails. The staff is very accommodating , I wish I remembered a few names. Beds were very comfortable too. Try to get a good rate, it can get... More

I am currently staying at the Mayflower. This a really nice hotel with a beautiful lobby. It is in a great location. I had a reservation for for 5 nights in a congressional suite. The suite is nice, but a tad worn. However my first night at this hotel was a fiasco. Please note my rating is average as the... More

Beautiful hotel, everything with in walking distance, rooms were great, restaurant really nice, breakfast buffet was a little pricey, I was charged full price for a five yr old who had a small plate of fruit, all in all would go back tomorrow, would recommend to all my friends to stay here. We arrived late after a long journey from the UK. There had been a mix up with our booking, but Lea (the Mangeress) intervened and soon had us checked in and having a drink or 2 in the bar. We loved the hotel, the rooms are spacious and very clean and the hotel has a very nice feel to it... More
