I have held events and stayed at the Mayflower for over 30 years. This is the first time I have returned since major renovations. I stayed in a Congressional one-bedroom suite on the 8th floor. The room was large and comfortable. My only disappointment was no coffee maker in the rooms. Every Marriott I have stayed in over the last... More

Stayed here for a long weekend with a large group. My family of 4 shared one room that was recently renovated. The room was large and nicely appointed. Small refrigerator, but no mini-bar. Bathroom was ample and nicely renovated. Plenty of towels. Beds were comfortable. HVAC was a little noisy and seemed to leave the room either too cold or... More

I did not pick this hotel - we were in town for a volleyball tournament and this is where the team stayed. I was thrilled with the accommodations. We were assigned a newly renovated room. As a Marriott Rewards member with decent status, I am always given a good room, but this was exceptional. It was larger then most rooms... More

Due to my job I have to come here a couple of times. Till yesterday I could only underline the previous reviews on the hotel about the tiny and horrible dirty rooms. But when I entered floor 10 yesterday I was astonished how new everything looks. The hall way is bright and clean. The walls, carpet and doors look really... More

I like the decor of this hotel. From the lobby to the bathrooms to the beds and sittings areas and window treatments. I stayed in a doubles room that was newly renovated. I only stayed one night for business and it was comfortable. Overall, I have no complains. I got free wifi and free breakfast at a reasonable rate. Breakfast... More

I stayed here for 5 nights in late December 2014, and it was a great stay. If you are looking for a hotel that is right in DC and you want that historical feel, this hotel is exactly what you are looking for. The theming is very exquisite with fancy chandeliers, flooring, and overall design in the lobby. Even the... More

I was given one of the new renovated rooms. Astounding. No desk in the room. So it is impossible to work (unless you work from the bed). Plus, there is no place to plug things in unless you want them laying around the floor. Can't figure it out. The renovation was, I am guessing, suppose to update the hotel/ So... More

The last time I stayed here I thought the hotel was great; full of history and elegant however, I was disappointed because the furnishings were tired and in need of updating. Well not anymore! This time I stayed in a renovated room and found everything in excellent condition. Exactly what I would expect from a hotel of this stature. Combined... More

The lobby is spectacular, the rooms are a DISASTER! I have attached a photo of the "updated room" which we had on the concierge level. There is not a single drawer to be found in the room. There is not even a place to set anything down. There is no desk. There is a tiny table that holds the TV... More

Last March, a friend and I checked into the Mayflower Renaissance to rest and prepare for the DC Rock 'n' Roll. It was the best decision amongst the many aspects of preparation for enjoying this marathon, for those coming from out-of-state. Here is why: The hotel is large and clearly accustomed to handling travelers coming in with active agendas. I... More
