Stayed here in May for business. It's a grand old building with an impressive foyer & attentive reception staff. The in-house restaurant Edgars is good value casual dining with impeccable service. However the room I had was dreadful. Tired dark furniture, noisy rattly a/c unit. Turned that off but then had to deal with the noise from the industrial unit... More

At one time Mayflower was one of the finest hotels in DC - it is centrally located and is in easy walking distance from places of interest. However, I recently stayed at the Hotel and was dismayed by the quality of its rooms and restaurants - there was no stationary in the room simple amenities were missing - for US$... More

A recent advocacy meeting required my stay in the nation's Capitol. Idly located I was able to shop- Union station shops, see the Capitol and make all of my congressional and senatorial meetings from this strategic location. Interesting rooms and quiet corners in the hotel allowed me to do work and relax between hectic meetings. Would recommend this place for... More

This is a first class hotel with very attentive staff. There was a problem with a noisy air conditioner, but that problem was addressed to our satisfaction. Plenty of great restaurants in the area. We particularly liked i Richii, an Italian seafood restaurant which is in walking distance.

This hotel is beautiful! Totally updated with modern decor. Even had free candy at happy hour time and delicious fresh lemonade! The valet parking is expensive. We parked right around the corner for $17 less per night.

I was disappointed in the hotel. The staff were mediocre and made errors with the second room that was booked. We then had to pay more as they would not honor the AAA nor a senior rate. The restaurant was disastrous as the service was deplorable. Salad was inedible and the cocktail ordered was incorrect. Too bad as it was... More

They have really messed this place up. What was a grand, historic hotel is now a complete mish mash of art deco, 60s nostalgia and rococo in the public spaces. the gym is still pretty good but they no longer have coffee makers in the rooms...this is one of my pet peeves lately Bathrooms are nice and spacious, ditto for... A very elegant updated old hotel in Washington, D.C.. Glorious large room and bathroom. Massive public spaces off huge marble halls. Restaurants have superb food and service too. Well located in a very special part of the city.

One-night family vacation to tour DC on Memorial Day weekend. Hotel lobby is spectacular and management knows how to maximize goodwill with guest from the lobby experience (free coffee in AM, free candies and treats in PM, free lemonade on hot days - all very stylishly presented). Room was super clean and really well appointed. Marriott are doing a fantastic... More
