Location of the hotel and service is what distinguish this hotel but do not except spacious room. There is not much space to move around with a king size bed. Very expensive Wi-Fi. why it is that more expensive is the hotel more they charge for Wi-Fi. Most of the regular hotel's now provide free Wi-Fi. Printer to print boarding... More

My 15 year old son and I stayed at the Mayflower from 10/12/14-10/14/14 in a one bedroom suite on the 7th floor. The lobby of the hotel is as everyone else describes, very nice. At check-in the first woman I spoke with was very nice. I don't remember her name. However, when we came back to the hotel several hours... More

I checked into this hotel on 10/18 and the room I was given was already occupied by somebody else. Not only is this a huge security issue (for obvious reasons), but it's a huge hassle to have to return back down to the desk and wait in line all over again to have it fixed. The second room was on... More

Over the years I have stayed on multiple occasions at this very well located hotel with its highly professional staff. The first words on the Marriott / Renaissance site describing it are "Our historic hotel in Washington, DC is a proud member of Historic Hotels of America". How profoundly disappointing it was to see how in 2014 Renaissance has brought... More

I stayed at the Mayflower Renaissance for a two-day meeting. Even before we arrived, we were warned not to arrive too late, as the hotel tends to give away reserved rooms, even when guaranteed with a credit card. Luckily this did not happen, despite my flight being delayed. First impressions were good, the promenade along the ground floor is pretty... More

I stayed at the Mayflower for the final days of this year's vacation, and I am very satisfied. The hotel has a good location, a helpful and professional staff, and my room has been clean and tidy. Would recommend this to all my friends.

I did not stay at the hotel but attended a two day conference. The food, for a group of 150+ people, was excellent, really excellent. The staff was fantastic. The two gentlemen who worked the breakfast for the conference were wonderful. Based on this experience I will choose this hotel when I have the opportunity.

This hotel is in a great location for taking in many tourist attractions. Located about 1/2 block from the Metro so it makes it easy to travel in Washington DC. If you are flying into the Reagan National Airport you can simply hop on the Metro and arrive minutes later without taking a taxi or picking up a rental car.... More

One thing that really gets me is when you stay at a costly hotel and they want to charge you for the internet. Really at over 400 bucks a night you have to charge for the internet? Even a Super 8 gives you free internet. The other thing that bugs me is when they have this little flyer trying to... More

We stayed at the Mayflower Renaissance for a week while traveling around D.C. It's a beautiful historic hotel. The rooms are very nice and rather large for a big city hotel. The bed was comfortable, the in room amenities were great, and the air conditioning worked well. There is a very different mix of people staying at the hotel, military,... More
