My husband treated us to a mini vacation in the city, and the Palomar was a great hotel for relaxing and exploring the Dupont Circle area. He chose the hotel mainly because of its location to two restaurants we wanted to experience. Our 10th floor king spa room, although dated and showing a bit of wear, was quiet, spacious, and... We stayed with our 3 children for 4 nights over the recent school break and had a wonderful time. The hotel is nicely decorated, the rooms are clean and spacious and they are pet friendly. It was fun to see dogs in the hotel. The entire staff from housekeeping to valet were very accommodating. There is a great pizza restaurant... More

Clean hotel with conference rooms and well situated in the heart of the NW district. Rooms are a bit small, hard to sit at the desk since it is so close to the bed. The beds are large and comfy. The carpet was well worn and needs to be replaced. Quite, no issues.

I was more than pleased when I entered the hotel. I remember this as the Radisson. The Kimpton has taken great pains to update this old place, with lovely art and furnishings and bathrooms….but the beds and bedding make it desirable. PLUS, in the middle of the city, the room was so quiet. I am grateful for that! What makes... More

No matter if you are visiting for business or pleasure, the Palomar offers great hotel services. Spacious, well designed rooms, well equipped, nice bathrooms and amenities and the typical little special room details that make stays at Kimpton hotels special. Gym and pool as well as the Kimpton offerings (morning coffee, flavored water and wine hour) round it up.

This was almost flawless! We stayed for five nights and everything was great. Comfortable room, interesting decor and great location. The restaurant was fine, and the location perfect-3 minute walk to DuPont Circle Metro, plus a lot of other restaurants, coffee houses and bookstores nearby. Finally, the staff were fabulous-polite, helpful and cheerful! To top it all, free wine tasting... More

Stayed here in early April with my partner. This hotel is probably the best one I've ever stayed at. The location, Dupont Circle, is a great place in itself and also serves as a very accessible hub for the rest of the city; the Metro station is only a five minute walk from the hotel. The room was fantastic, and... More

The Palomar of DC - Is a wonderful hotel! - with all the amenities and without any pretentious-ness! As all Kimpton’s, complementary wine and small apps are served at 5:00.. Yes the wine was even a quality high enough, to enjoy the wine... The staff is so caring and courteous everyday and every time they see you through-out the day!... More

Huge rooms, but they are very darkly decorated, that being said, its ideal to have a P-Street windowed room. The hotel gives off a little bit of a hard rocker vibe but without loud music. This is not a luxury hotel, gives off a boutique vibe occasionally but overall feels like a big tourist class hotel... especially in the morning... More

The Palomar Hotel is located in Dupont Circle. A good place to stay in DC and quieter than in the downtown. It is a very popular hotel. The Metro is within walking distance of the hotel -- about 10 minutes away. For $14 you can get a day pass. Only a few stops away from attractions. CVS is nearby as... More
