I booked this room through hotwire, so I didn't know what to expect since you don't know that name of the hotel until after you book it. Well, was I extremely happy when I arrived at this hotel and saw our room. We arrived well before check in time, and was immediately given a room. I have two teenagers who... more

The greeting is warm, and very welcoming. The service was excellent, and very efficient. Super spacious room, lovely bathroom. Location very close to Dupont Circle, bars, coffee shops and eating places. Easy to get into DC, and close and very handy for Trolley tour. We had a great time. Breakfast for $1 was very good, and we enjoyed eating dinner... more

From the concierge (Phillip) who set up our in room massages to the waiter who served our breakfast every morning, everyone at this busy hotel was on top of their game. It was great to be located super close to Dupont Circle, but just far enough way down the street where it is much more quiet. We walked everywhere from... more

I really enjoyed my 3 night stay at the Palomar. The hotel is in a great location off Dupont Circle within easy walking distance to the metro and Georgetown, which I had fun exploring. My friend and I enjoyed the happy hour - free wine in the lobby between 5 pm - 6 pm. Morning coffee and tea and free... more

We bid on Priceline for a hotel on the same day of the stay. We received the Palomar at a good rate for a "4* star," a less minute buy the night before a major marathon race. Hotels in DC are very expensive, so even with our dissatisfaction it was not a bad deal, particulary since we found on-street parking... more

Dear erinys, Any guest feedback is greatly appreciated as it provides us the opportunity to improve upon our product and service offerings. The hotel does offer a variety of room types that vary by size and price point. I am sorry the mattress and fragrance were not to your liking. The hotel's theme is "Art in Motion" and certainly does...

After originally booking at the Palomar, I stupidly canceled for a place that I thought was going to be bigger and better. Let's just say that after one night of an awful hotel room experience I showed up in the lobby and threw myself at the mercy of the front desk. I fully expected to either walk away whimpering with... more

Well all we can say is.....wow, what a fabulous hotel. We'd read all the positive comments about the Palomar before booking but it wasn't until we checked in that we realised why this was rated number 2 on Trip Advisor. We'd had a long trans-atlantic flight to DC and we were both so tired and as we were a bit... more

My wife and I had a three nights stay in this beautiful Kimpton hotel. The staff at the front office made an excellent job, they were very friendly, helpful and well informed. We liked the daily complimentary Wine Hour in the lobby, where you can meet other guests. The room was great, modern and very clean. The hotel is close... more

The hotel is close to the Dupont circle, next to embassies and the Phillips Collection. nice coffee and teashops in the area. The room was large, impeccably maintained, modern fixtures, fast (and free!) WiFi. Friendly staff. Wine hour, different wines every day and (i was delighted to find) the wines were pretty good. All in all, a very good stay. more

The Palomar is a fantastic hotel, great atmosphere whenever you come into the reception, fabulous free drinks hour as at all other Kimpton hotels, lovely robes, socks and free umbrella (handy when we were there as it was horrible weather!). Location is good for the metro and for Dupont Circle/Georgetown but the main part of Washington is a metro trip... more

Dear travelingnicx, I am glad you enjoyed several aspects of your recent stay with us such as the complimentary Wine Hour in the lobby, the zebra and leopard print robes and our proximity to the Dupont Circle Metro stop. I appreciate your honest feedback about the sound from the connecting room, and wanted to let you know we are currently...
