What a great hotel. We were meant to spend 4 days in Washington, which we had to extend to a week because of bad weather. All the time we were there the streets were knee-deep in snow and most of the city was closed down. And yet it was a really great experience, thanks to the style, quality and wonderful... More

Overall I had a good stay here. The hotel is located in the Embassy Row area, near embassies (of course) and various think tanks. It may or may not be convenient depending on your business. The key tourist areas around the mall are a bit of a hike. The closest Metro station is Dupont Circle, a 10 minute walk. (Best... More

On our first visit to DC the Hotel Rouge was a funky boutique oasis on a cold winter’s stay. The staff at reception were very attentive on arrival and our room was very much what we expected. The room was comfortable, large and made us feel at home. My only reservations were that we had an exquisite view of a... More

My husband and I decided to take our honeymoon a few months after our wedding so as a surprise I booked a trip to DC the day after the wedding as a get away. A friend from the area recommended the Hotel Rouge. I got a great deal on this hotel - when booking the customer service rep on the... More

The Hotel Rouge was a stand-out hotel on my recent business trip to DC. it was great to come back to the hotel after along day and be greeted by the staff with a glass of wine! I enjoyed the Happy Hour wine hour each day during the week. The room was spacious, clean, organized to work out of or... More

First, the issues (no particular order): the hotel's décor is fun and funky but is showing a bit of wear and tear and needs some refreshing; the coffee service in the lobby before the 7am breakfast in the dining room did not include any sort of milk or cream, and I was told by the front desk that they didn't... Such a delightful stay - central to Dupont Circle. Fabulous room - huge, well appointed, thoughtful touches, and fun decor! Make sure to sign up for Kimpton Rewards - their "raid the mini-bar" feature is brilliant. And to make it all that much better - the staff was wonderful. Meghan at reception knows what good service means. Will seek this... More

The room we had was a nice size. The bed was comfortable. The lobby furniture could use some repairs and cleaning. The staff was very courteous.

The hotel is very informal. FReidnly staff & complementry wine, or coffee, or hot chocolate, or bloody mary & pizza in the lobby at set times. Our room was spacious & comfortable with large windows. We had complementry continental breakfast which saved us time & money in the morning. We had room service on 2 eveings due to the snow. Both... More

Lovely two night stay at the Hotel Rouge. Conveniently located near my place of business, great city sights, Metro stops (Farragut North, West and DuPont), good eats, grocery stores, Embassy Row and the White House. I was thankful to the youthful staff for their friendly and easy going attitude.
