I chose this hotel because of its location across the street from my conference, but they overbooked and moved me to another hotel several blocks farther away. They blamed it on the construction going on, but from reading earlier reviews, the construction has been going on for a long time there. To make matters worse, they told me I couldn't... More

Not looking to stay at one of the mega chains when I needed to be at the Convention Center for 3 days, the Morrison Clark Inn seemed like the right choice - and it was! While the room was a bit on the small side, what it lacked in size, it was totally made up with charm. The historical detail... More

Stayed here for business. Was able to walk to convention center, stroll across the street for great dinners at a neighboring hotel (Morrison-Clark was undergoing renovations and their restaurant was closed), and wander around the neighborhood. Located as it was in a busy area of Washington DC, it was surprisingly quiet. Room was great, with an adjoining sitting room, great... More

Booked a room we paid for before moving to the Henley Park for a business convention. The room was very small. You had to watch TV laying on the bed with your head were your feet go. They gave us a free upgrade the next day. Major construction going on and it looks like it will be a great place... More

BobBarb, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of the hotel. It's great that you were able to experience both the historic Henley Park as well as our own Morrison Clark. We are sister properties and both just across the street from one another. I'm happy to hear that you found our location ideal and our staff... More

my husband and I recently spent three nights at the hotel. Although the hotel is undergoing renovations it really didn't bother us as we only heard a little bit of noise in the morning. The concierge and staff were very helpful, very friendly and professional! The only glitch in our visit is that the restaurant was closed. I'd also prefer... More

foodcritic028, We have so many guests that call the Morrison Clark their home away from home while visiting DC. I hope we've become yours. As you mentioned, there is a little bit of noise as the crews next door are putting the finishing touches on the expansion buildings. We are hoping this will all be wrapped up in the next... More

We stayed 4 nights for a personal/business visit to Washington DC. The location is great, two nearby metro stops and close to the 14th Street dining and shopping area. The staff was very helpful on making our stay enjoyable.

I was here for a conference in early November. This was not the conference hotel but there were several people staying here from our group, and the free morning breakfast was a great opportunity to get to know them better. The location was terrific--very close to the conference venue at the Marriot and the convention center, yet adjacent to a... More

Faith H, Many thanks for the wonderful review! Situated between the Convention Center and the residential area of the city, we make for a most unique and genuine glimpse into life in the Nation’s Capital. As you mentioned the neighborhood has wonderful small town attractions such as the mom and pop shops just down the street. The Morrison house and... More

Stayed 3 nights last week. Lovely old building, heavy walls and doors, great bedding, pretty place. Especially helpful and kind employees. Construction noise begins at 7:00 am, not too bad, and they didn't work Sunday. Walked to National Gallery, maybe 20 minutes.

KP J, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our hotel. As you mentioned, the heavy doors and walls add to the charm of the Inn, a quality that isn't seen often in modern buildings. I'm glad you too advantage of the short distance to visit the National Gallery - it is certainly one of our... More

Checked in at 3pm on Friday the 17th had no issues with or getting our room. We were on the courtyard side 4th floor, we had no issues with noise from the remodeling going on. The staff was wonderful never gave us problems leaving or entering, we walked to all the museums and white house so perfect location.

Christine P, It sounds like you had a wonderful trip to DC and I'm happy we were a part of it. Visiting the museums and momuments are always on the top of visitor's to-do lists and we are in the ideal location to walk to most of them. Arriving at the specified check in time of 3pm we were disappointed that rooms were not ready. We were offered a nice but small dark basement room facing the courtyard under some renovation or told that if we waited we could have a higher floor facing either outwards on into the courtyard. I specified that I'd like a higher room... More
