Everything about this Inn is a delight! The staff is accomodating, friendly and professional. The facility itself is charming, eclectic and inviting. There is just an overall feeling of comfort. If you have a choice, make it the Morrison Clark! The location and price is terrific, too. You'll find youve gotten a great deal

This place is so quaint and welcoming! The staff is beyond helpful and friendly! So clean and inviting, you will not want to leave. They do have a hair-dryer in the room even though I could not find this information online. I cannot wait to go back! This will be my go-to when traveling to DC from now on!

On our USA trip we decided late in our trip to spend a 24 hr hit and run in Washington, D.C. It is the capital so why not. Arrived and immediately the service and attitude of the staff was exemplary. We got a great rate and the rooms over delivered. When checking out they were more than happy to keep... More

For our kid-free get-a-way weekend in DC, we wished to have a hotel different than the average chain...our wish came true in the Morrison-Clark inn! It is a clean, beautiful historic building located only blocks from a metro station, and within walking distance of some historic sites, and Chinatown. The rooms are small, but seating in the parlor/dining area compensated... More

Absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. It's small, older, boutique and certainly has DC charm to it. The rooms are nice, bathrooms are clean and decent sized, adequate space on the counters for your amenities. The rooms have two little windows that open for fresh air - something that is often missing from many hotels. They have free wine... More

Acire27, I'm happy to hear that you absolutely loved your stay at the hotel. So many of our guests enjoy that the windows open - it's a unique feature in our hotel and one of the many touches that make the difference in a hotel stay. We look forward to welcoming you back should you travels bring you to DC... More

The hotel has a long history. Although the room is old, the condistion is still good. The room is quiet and clean. Free and good quality breakfast is provided. The position of the hotel is very good. It takes only 15 minutes to walk to the White House.

Fengliyan_ice, The history of The Morrison Clark is rich and long; originally built as private residences in 1864 and used as the Soldiers’, Sailors’, and Airmens’ Club during most of the 1900s, the Inn has seen many prominent figures step foot through its doors. Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge our historic past. I hope you will consider... More

We stayed in this hotel for less than 24 hours in November. There are some mixed reviews on tripadvisor and yelp but I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The front desk guys were more than nice, they offered us complimentary coffee and cookies as we checked in. The room is exceptionally small but clean. The... More

Ida 32, Glad to have you as our guest back in November. As we are nearing completion of our expansion, guests have continuously mentioned that the hotel far exceeds the online reviews that were given during the time that we were under construction. I’m happy to hear this was the case with you too. Many thanks for taking the time... More

After reading a number of reviews on TA, we were a bit apprehensive to book this hotel - and honestly our experience far exceeded our expectations. We found every hotel staff member to be professional, friendly, and helpful. We did ask for a quiet room away from the street, and were given a beautiful room overlooking a dreadfully unattractive courtyard.... More

Where to begin? From the moment we walked into our room - we knew we had made the right choice. The rooms are everything you need, the staff is warm and welcoming, the complimentary breakfast is simply wonderful and it is close to everything. I read the reviews before I made the booking and the few misleading negative reviews were... More

The first room they gave me was right off the lobby. The walls are thin and elevator old and loud. All night I heard every single guest that entered or exited. The view was the construction work being done. I asked if it was possible to switch rooms for my second night. They were so nice about setting this up... More

Blayne G, Thank you for your honest review of the hotel. I’m confident that once our restoration project is complete and you stay with us again, you might have a completely different review to write! All of the reasons that your stay was less than perfect will be remedied; the large furniture in the room will be replaced by items... More
