I booked this hotel via Travelosity top secret hotel and came here with my parents. There was a construction in front of the hotel when I arrive which makes an extremely loud noise, and this horrible noise continues till midnight!!!! WTF!!!!! Spent two nights at this hotel on a sight seeing tour. Very nice hotel,rooms good size but the most important aspect it is within walking distance of all the museums and the white house. Services are good and the food ok but expensive. The Space museum does not have the Space Shuttle as this exhibit is at Dulles airport.

Rooms were dirty! Fixtures were rusty! No water pressure. Ventilation system that made noise but did not work! My husband and I went to Washington, DC for a two day getaway. We had tickets at the Kennedy Center and were initially looking for a hotel nearby. I didn't know what to expect given the mixed reviews about the hotel that I had read prior to arriving. The room was spacious, quiet, and clean. The service was prompt and excellent. There was a slight disappointment with housekeeping on the second day but otherwise I encountered no problems at this hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised!

We arrived on Friday at 10:30am and checked in, we asked for a room with a refrigerator and were given a room in the 15th floor with a view from a balcony over to the Capitol and the Washington monument. The L'Enfant Plaza Hotel has an outstanding location--it is only a few blocks blocks from the Smithsonian and other museums.
