For starters this is a business hotel and caters that way. However I stayed here on a two night weekend package at $149 pn and you couldn't beat it. Nice smart hotel and then there's the location. Forget the metro, you are within a few hundred yards of all the mall area sights. Downside, if you are looking for nightlife... more

I just returned from a stay at this hotel for 4 days/3 nights. It was an "OK" hotel. My company paid $450/nt for this hotel, and I don't consider that a fair rate for an "OK" hotel. I have stayed at many JW Marriott's and this just doesn't compare. The good parts... The hotel is beautiful and huge. Everything is... more

My husband and I just returned from a trip to the East Coast, which part of our visit being in D.C. We arrived in @ the J.W. after catching a red eye flight from the West Coast, and arriving quite exhausted. I had requested an early check in, with hopes that we would be able to check in around 11am,... more

In Washington DC location is everything. This hotel is at the best location. One block from White House. Five minutes walk to Washington Monument. Ten to fifteen minutes walk to most of the museums and monuments in National Mall. Taxi, which is plentiful in DC, and readily stand-by at the corner most of the time, can bring you to Capitol... more

The location of this hotel is just amazing. If you can find a rate deal take it or if you can afford the regular price take it. The rooms are really comfortable, sure the bathroom is small but if one wants a jacuzzi tub then go find another room. It has everything you want. Stay away from the in house... more

We stayed at the JW over Memorial Day weekend with three young children. The rooms were small, but comfortable. We used a roll-away bed and the hotel was happy to accomodate 5 in one room (Many DC Hotels do not). One major plus for this hotel was the indoor pool. Many DC Hotels do not have them. Hotel location was... more

I've stayed at the JW Marriott in DC twice. The first time - last May - was for business, and I did not have a choice in where I stayed. This time, when my husband and I visited DC to see friends, we chose the JW because I had such a pleasant visit the first time. The beautiful hotel is... more

The only good thing I have to say about the hotel is the bed was fairly comfortable. Room service fare was disgusting, the ceiling of the bathroom was peeling, and the hotel was at most average for a very high price. I would say this is hotel is more consistent with a three star/chain hotel. Everything relatively OK, but certainly... more

I just returned after a 3 day stay at this hotel. This is by far the nicest hotel that I have stayed at in a while. It is very large but very CLEAN and quiet. The only noise we heard was from outside the building. We stayed on the 11th floor and had a perfect view of the Capital and... more

My girlfiend and I drove down to DC for a long weekend (30-Apr to 03-May). Can't beat the location of this place! From the front door it's just 2 blocks to the White House; with most other sights within a comfortable walking distance. Room was nice and spacious. Bathrooms are a good size and the hotel is nice and quiet.... more
