I was here for a work conference. The location is great, and the hotel is quite nice. The staff was friendly and helpful when I asked for some suggestions in the area. If you do not have a smart phone or a laptop (my phone was stolen) they charge pretty heftily for computer use! Overall a nice hotel. Would stay... More

Traveled with family and reserved four rooms. Three were on the fifth floor and one was on the 10th and were comfortable enough. The corner room was large and the view of the upper portion of the Washington Monument was impressive. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were miniscule. Every employee we encountered was helpful and friendly. Check-in was extremely efficient. Location... More

I will say that this hotel is in a great location, and the staff upon entering the hotel are very welcoming, that's where it ends. The rooms are very small, and just barely cleaned...that included a daily tip. I am not sure why I continued with a tip, the coffee area wasn't refreshed daily, and I am not sure that... More

Let me start by saying there is nothing particularly wrong with the JW Marriott. It's in a great location, steps from the Washington Monument, National Mall, White House and several museums, and is probably in the top 25% of Marriott properties around the country. Why only three stars, then? There's simply no wow-factor anywhere in the hotel. JW is supposed... More

Dear Anthony D, Thank you for taking the time to review your most recent stay at our hotel. My son and I stayed here for a long weekend and chose the hotel for its location. I have stayed here once before about six years ago and knew it was close to everything and that's probably one of its best features. It's on the corner of 14th and Pennsylvania. You can literally walk to nearly any major attraction--even Arlington... More

This hotel ticked all the boxes for a great stay in DC. Walking distance to everywhere, comfortable room, great food and helpful staff. Some top restaurants close by also. Would return to this location without questions! Close to the White House also!-:)

We stayed on the 10th floor with fab view over Pennsylvania Avenue. The location is great with all the museums, war memorials and other main attractions within easy walking distance. The room was adequate, very clean and the bed/pillows very comfy. The bathroom was too small. Not a cheap hotel either so the room sizes were rather disappointing plus valet... More

Please allow me to express our sincerest apologies. From the nature of your comments, it seems we have fallen considerably short in providing the service and accommodations you've come to expect from Marriott. Our management team and hotel associates prude themselves for their abilities to stand out and make an impact on each and every one of our guests. I... More

this is a great location, but dated. I get it, it's DC, but rooms are small, service just ok, bar restaurant service horrible and slow. If its location at a high price for aveage amenities you are looking for, this is your spot.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I am so sorry that your recent stay was less than satisfactory. One of our top priorities is to provide each and every guest with a positive hotel experience. We have clearly fallen short of this goal. Please be aware that I have communicated your comments to our restaurant managers... More

This hotel is in a prime location near all of the major sights which I'm sure factors into the price. The JWs are expected to be a notch above other marriots. I did stay in a 3 star hotel the day before and my bathroom in the 3 star was bigger and better than this hotel. My colleague and I... More

Has to be one of the best locations to stay whilst in DC. A couple of blocks away from all the main attractions. The hotel was very clean and the staff all very friendly.
