It's a JW Marriott so it was like I thought nice, quiet and expensive. Bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious and I loved the big LCD TV in the room. Oh bonus for you sports buffs it has ESPN HD so the HR derby and Baseball All Star game were great to watch from the room! The one... more

Booked hotel with Marriott rewards points for 2 nights. We were upgraded to a corner room on the top floor. Our view included White House, Capitol, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Pentagon, Liberty Square, Post Office, etc. We loved just looking out our windows and watching the people. We had a king bed and a rollaway. The rollaway was an extra... more

This is a tale of woe with a good ending: My flight back to Boston was canceled by weather, and no seats were available until the next day. I scrambled to book a hotel room at the last minute. The mediocre hotels near National Airport were filling fast and charging a lot, so I went to Priceline and made an... more

Stayed here for the 4th weekend. What a great stay my husband and i had. Beautiful hotel, small bathroom but who really cared. Brought my elderly mom and they gave us a connected room. Worked out perfectly. The beds are great! Lots of pillows. Dont touch the mini bar if you dont plan on buying. It is on a motion sensor... more

We stayed here for 5 nights over the July 4th holiday, I have no complaints at all, YES the room and the bathroom are small, but we didn't spend much time in them. We walked everywhere, the White House is a block away, and within a few blocks to the Washington Monument, and all the Museum, you can even walk... more

This was a great hotel....Marriott does not disappoint! Had 3 adults and three small kids. We fit in the room just fine (with blow-up mattress!). The view we had was incredible (city view) and PERFECT for viewing the fireworks over the national monument. The price was steep...but it was a primo room on the 4th of July....and it was well... more

The hotel was fantastic. Yes, it is a business hotel but the amenties were all covered. We got a rate of $156 a night. Out our window on the 4th floor you could see the White House. Good pool for grandson and they treated him royally. Free treat in the gift shop. When we checked in they gave him a... more

I read all the reviews, worried, but booked it anyways for the location. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is beautful and the location is fabulous. The rooms, including the bathroom, were a bit small. The pool was great and the weight room was bigger then most. Room service worked after a long day of sight seeing. Plenty of families... more

Other reviews will tell you this hotel is in a great location, and it is - very close to the White House, the Mall and all the mounuments. Easy to walk to most of the major attractions or to catch the Metro (only 2 blocks away). My only caution is that you are SO close to the White House and... more

The JW Marriott is a great place to stay in D.C., especially if you are there to see the Capital area. For the price, it is, hands down, the best location for Capital area adventures. Within easy walking distance of the White House, the Federal Triangle, and most of the Smithsonian museums, you can't beat the location. Everything is a... more
