This hotel recently underwent some significant lobby renovations. It's all very modern and upscale now but the result is that the lobby is one very big room with a good deal of noise. It's difficult to find a quiet place to think, let alone have a conversation, but naturally you won't be spending much time here. So off to the... more

A decent but expensive hotel located just a couple of blocks from Capitol Hill. I stayed here while attending the Army's annual AUSA Conference at the DC Convention Center. Check in was fine - efficient if not the most friendly experience in my life. One thing that was strange was the fact that they never gave me any information confirming... more

Generally this hotel was OK for a meeting, but not sure if I would want to stay here while vacationing. The location is very close to Capital Hill (two short blocks), and a further walk to the more popular attractions on the National Mall. There are very few restaurants or stores in the area, mostly offices with the exception of... more

I stayed here 2 nights for meetings on Capital Hill. The hotel is an easy walk to the House, Senate and Supreme Court. There are a few places around but this is not prime tourist real estate so if you aren't planning to visit the House and Senate I'd stay elsewhere to avoid getting in and out of cabs. The... more

The room smelled like unbathed homeless smokers were there lighting up about 5 minutes before I checked in. I asked to change, they said they were at capacity. And then they stuck me in a a corner room right next to the maid's storage room, so every morning at 5:30AM I get loud crashing noises against my wall. They had... more

I stayed four nights at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill for an educator's conference. Below is a breakdown of my thoughts about this hotel: Check-In/Hotel Room: The check-in process was quick. I stayed on the fifth floor, and did not hear much noise during my stay. The room itself was very nice. The only concern I had was the... more

No hotel help getting bags up. Mgmt should stay in a room. Called about poor shower. No indication anyone looked at it and... more

First of all there was a fire alarm at the hotel, and the alarm did not go off on the 6th floor. Our students were sleeping, and the security had to knock on our doors to get our students out, or else, they would have slept through it. Secondly, the service was the worst I have ever had! We asked... more

Stayed on the club floor. If your room faces the street on the front of the building you have an active firehouse across the styreet, so sirens can be an issue. Nice little breakfast spread in the morning. Pretty thin walls so the soundproofing over all was my only complaint. more

Hi! I would like to say that this hotel isn't the best but ok. The rooms and beds are modern but we found the room to be a little not the price. The breakfast downstairs if great! With a buffet with all kinds of delicous food. Tip: Do not eat at the Holiday Inn across the street. The everything is... more
