The area is extremely sketchy-looking and some parts of the property smell like urine. The rooms carry a musty odor that never comes out no matter how you ask the staff to clean it.

All in all, the hotel was fine. It was a non-smoking room, but smelled slightly of smoke (could've come from another room). Our biggest issue was that the room smelled damp, like the sheets or towels weren't fully dry? Front desk staff was very courteous, hotel felt safe. Morning coffee was pretty bad. Wifi would not connect.

I can definitely not recommend this hotel. Overall poor stay. Service was unfriendly. Room Old and dirty. Internet was extrem slow. No sidewalks on the way to the city.

The bathroom smelled of sewage. The room was damp and moldy. The Wi Fi was not accessible notify the front desk and no one came to see what the problem was. it was a horrible visit to this hotel. I will not book this hotel ever again.

The room was ok but I was scared because of where it was .Plus the pool was all covered up and someone should of told us that before we payed $131.OO plus someone was banging on a door next door and I thought they were going to break it. I would never stay there again.

I like to stay at this Howard Johnsons if I am going to take care of business in Washington D.C. The room costs are reasonable and it's easy to take a cab into the city if you have to take care of business. The only complaint I have is the room coffee pots are not always working.

We were told that there was a pool. Pool was covered, we were told it was within walking distance to the metro station. It was much further. Tv was fuzzy, the air didn't work well, I was bitten on my arms and upper leg multiple times by something. My husband and kids had enough sense to bring their sleeping bags.... More

good for 1 or 2 overnights. Need to have your car to get around. Ample parking. Metro is quite a hike from the hotel. Breakfast is a joke.
