Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a couple days,I had an interview with the department of Homeland Security. The hotel and it's staff are great. We had a standard room, had a nice view of the courtyard and it was pretty centrally located. The surrounding restaurants are all good, everything was a bit pricey but when you're in the... More

My young adult daughter and i stayed at the Helix Hotel for Cherry Blossom in April. It was so nice to be in a hotel that felt a little different than your typical hotel. It is colourful and trendy, love the boutique feel. We walked to the very large whole foods market for snacks and salads located right in the... More

We always stay here with our dogs! Staff is great concept is fab and perfectly convienant to so many things. One small thing it can be loud in halls by elevators so take a room away from. Don't miss out on happy hour drinks and food... patio is so comfortable. It does fit just right and into a budget for... More

The decor was definitely a change from typical American hotel atmosphere. It was fun! The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Great location for walking to restaurants but a bit for monuments and museums for most people. I think it was expensive for food and drinks from the lounge/kitchen (but that happens in a lot of hotels). There were... More

I stay at the Helix occasionally when I travel through DC for work. I think it's got a mixed bag of pros and cons, with the good aspects winning. Pros: Good location, Free cocktail hour Mini bar credit Lets me bring my dog! Food doesn't suck Cons: Staff isn't the best. Perfectly competent, just not overly friendly. Industrial carpeting the... We spent 7 days at this ideally situated hotel. From the friendly staff to the complimentary wine evening, everything was wonderful. We were upgraded to a suite & all the staff seemed genuinely interested in our stay. No in room coffee machine as in most US hotels these days & the coffee in the lounge was cleared away after breakfast... More

We came for 5 nights, first time in US. Hotel is a good walk from most of the places of interest. Rooms clean, dining area clean if you get there early. Staff ok, some a bit off. Watch out if you have a transfer voucher though. Reception booked it for us only for one of their taxis to take us... More

Stayed for three nights with family. Pros- Staff very helpful and courteous. Reasonable value. Good location. Eyes of the builder- Modern decor with 60's flair. Cons- Cigarette ashes in non-smoking room ***Old blood stains on sheets. Smell of cigarette smoke in halls. Really wanted to be more positive because of the friendliness of their staff but overall would struggle to... More

I really loved staying at this hotel with my husband and son. Not only was the room super trendy and cute, but the staff was really accommodating also. They had no problem setting up a crib for us and an extra bucket for diapers. They even have a small elevator so I did not have to carry my stroller up... More
