This is an old Holiday Inn, located in a good part of Washington. You can walk to the White House, but it is a long way. Front Desk and Bar staff were helpful and friendly. My priority club drink coupons were a welcome addition at the end of a long day. Rooms are in need of reburbishment although they are... More

Great location, near places like Starbucks, Whole Foods, restaurants, embassies and close enough to walk to Chinatown, the Smithsonians, the White House, etc. The hotel puts up a good face (lobby looks nice, facade looks good) but in the interior, the age of the building shows. While the rooms are nice enough in terms of furniture and size, the bathrooms... More

I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. From the minute we arrived the staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient. We were given an excellent king-size bed room with an extra area with two-seater couch and chairs and coffee table. The restaurant in the Hotel is also excellent and has very well priced meals for both dinner and... More

I stayed at the Holiday Inn on Rhode Island NW in Washington D.C. last week for business. I have a gold membership with Priority Club, so I got free breakfast and a couple drink coupons. The breakfast in the restaurant was very good, full bar of hot and cold foods. The rooms are updated and more spacious than the historic... More

Our first time in Washington DC and after spending a long time back in the UK choosing our hotel, we were absolutely delighted with this one. From first stepping into this hotel we were hooked, efficient, friendly receptionists, who couldn't have done enough for us, to the clean, spacious room and of course...the all essential underground parking for our SUV... The rooms were mediocre, smelled musty. Elevators are slow and inadequate. Despite contacting this hotel and hotels.com three weeks prior to my stay, they would not credit back the last night ahead of time for three business rooms I booked. Three weeks? Then, only one person in the hotel can actually arrange a credit, and they only work during the... More

Very good services. The location is very good. Less than two blocks from the hotel you can find a store (Whole Foods Market) with fresh cooked food that you can buy if you don't want to eat all the time in restaurants. Everybody very friendly!!

My husband and I took my 18 year old brother to DC for a graduation present this past weekend. I chose this hotel based on the price and the reviews that I read on Trip Advisor. After driving 6 hours from Massachusetts we got to the hotel at around 11 on Friday morning. I didn't think we'd be able to... More

The Holiday Inn Central in Washington DC. is a nice moderately priced hotel which is close to the White House and not far from the convention center and key tourist attractions. We came to Washington to attend a convention and see tourist sites. Unfortunately, we found the room to be very basic with a view of parking lots; we expected... More
