I wrote a review back in August of 2007 and since visiting again, I thought I'd write a new review. We got a two room family suite and it was so spacious (corner room on 10th floor) and the room was very clean. The kids had their own room (two twins) and their own bathroom. They had their own TV... The Harrington Hotel has a great location!!! It has a very friendly staff!!! The hotel is old and historic. It grew on me after a few days because of the staff and location -- but I was by myself. The hotel housed a lot of families and tourists so it was quiet every night. For the price is was a... More

Wanted to be in easy walking distance for my 16-year-old niece's first trip to DC. This was perfect. We took the subway from the train station, walked two blocks and there we were. We could see the hotel sign from the exit of the subway. Good service, nice room and we benefited from a having suite somehow. It was great... More

We needed a cheap-ish hotel in a good location and this fit the bill. We had to circle the block 3/4 times when we arrived to wait for the loading area to clear but once this had happened, it was easy to check in, unload our bags and check out the room before we had to go back down to... More

Our family of five recently stayed 5 nights at the Hotel Harrington. On arrival there was a BBQ contest happening and the road in front of the Hotel was blocked off. It was a little hectic but we managed. That is certainly not the hotels fault as several roads were closed for the event. The rooms were a good size... More

If hotel location, safety, cleanness and prize are important to you when choosing hotels, Hotel Harrington is the best. We stayed four nights with Harrington, booked for Double room with Two Double Beds, luckily we got an interconnected room, with two bath rooms, two single and one queen beds, two TVs, great for three of us. The location is unbeatable,... More

This hotel is terrible - we went to check in at 2pm and told our room wouldn't be ready till after 5pm as they are busy which is ok except the ladies on reception as rude and they looked and spoke to you like you are a burden and that they wished you weren't there. Hotel entry is dirty and... More

We stayed here for 6 nights on the end of our 2 week trip. It had an awesome location. Museums close enough to walk to and located 2 blocks from 2 metro stations. Restaurant there was great value ( omelette a big enough to share and kid burger was plenty!) other restaurants nearby. Hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Very... More

We very much enjoyed our stay in DC over the 4th. The hotel is basic lodging. But clean and pleasant. We did not go to town to lounge in the room. The attached restaurant.....not so much. Mediocre food. Poor service. Won't do that again.

1325 G Street, get to know this area because that's where you will park your vehicle. Then you will walk back to 11th and East, where the hotel is located. If you forgot something in your car, guess what? You get to walk all the way back! Yes the hotel is located near sites, but so is other hotels. They... More
