My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Harrington in mid-November. We liked it a lot. True, it is old, but that adds to it's charm. We were in a Queen room. It was small, but nice. There was a small fridge as well. The location was excellent. My husband and I walked everywhere, to the monuments, White House, and... More

We stayed in a room with a queen sized bed and two single beds. But the bathroom looks very dirty and the floor is very dusty, so everyone I step on it with my bare foot my feet will get all black! The telephone is also from the 1800s and there is no boiler. At least there is quite a... More

Hotel has a small fridge, kettle and coffee but not much else in terms of facilities. Breakfast is not included but Harry's downstairs is nice with okay pricing. Decent for a dinner though and plenty of options for meals. Hotel desk clerk lacked enthusiasm. You can reach all major sights from here by walking which is the biggest plus. CVS... More

This hotel is in an excellent location - the Whitehouse is within walking distance and the monuments are a bit further on from the Whitehouse. However, for the price we paid to stay here, we would have paid a little bit extra to stay somewhere much nicer. The hotel is run down, the rooms are small and mouldy, and the... More

Like many others here, i enjoyed my stay at the hotel with a group. It has been said here many times, and it is true, the location of this hotel is outstanding... Can't be beat... The atmosphere in the hotel is lively, due to the diner and bar on site for those looking to have a good time, yet relaxing... More

I was here for a school group trip and we stayed here for three nights. I thought the hotel was nice for its age and I liked the fact of how old it looked. The only problem that I had was that when I tryed to charge my phone the plugin sorta fell out of the wall. My group stayed... More

The Harrington is the longest continuously running hotel in DC. And it shows. The rooms, even the deluxe suite I was in, are old, rundown and a little mouldy. This say said, you don't stay here for the rooms. You stay here for the location. You are two blocks from The White House. You are a five minute walk from... More

I just could not believe the poor level of infrastructure of this hotel. I don't think that 170 USD per night is cheap. I would pay 40 a night at the most. After check in, I spent 45 minutes in my room, in absolute shock, then left in panic to a friend's house at 11 pm on a Sunday. The... More

We arrived on the Greyhound bus from Newark to spend 3 nights at the Hotel Harrington in Washington DC where we found we could easily walk to the White House and was right in the heart of the old part of DC close to most of the things we wanted to see. Yes the hotel is old and could do... More

The Hotel is an old (like maybe 80+ years old) that reminds one of pre-World War II business hotels. It is well worn, nothing fancy. I have rated with two stars because it just isn't average when compared with other hotels in the downtown area; but it still charges average rates. There are much nicer places one can find on...
