This was my homebase as I explored DC. Easy to walk and catch the train. Best of all, easy for tourists to FIND in the midst of a new city as there are flags lining the entire perimeter. Maps were helpful to tourists. Room was a bit dark but this is really a get up and go launch pad rather... More

About a mile from the train station and two blocks from the Smithsonian. If you don't mind walking then you're about 15 minutes from the Capitol building or the Lincoln memorial. If you take a cab $15 will get you anywhere. The hotel and rooms are nice and clean but the room was a little small. Awesome view from my... More

My mom, aunt, son and I stayed and we have no complaints. My mother used Travelocity to book the rooms. When she booked the rooms, she asked if there was a AAA or senior citizens discount and they said no. When we checked in ( which they let us do 3 hours early) they gave my mother a 10% senior... This hotel is more than 100 years old and it shows. Accommodations are very humble but the location is absolutely fantastic. Within 5 minutes walk to the National Mall and all the amazing sights and museums. The White House is about a 10mins walk. Public transportation (bus, subway) nearby and taxi cabs by the door. The rooms were clean and... More

Location and cost were the most important things to us while visiting Washington D.C. and Hotel Harrington was perfectly located and perfectly priced! The employees were very pleasant and we especially liked that they take pets. We had a small dog with us and he stayed in a room that was designated for pets. The only downfall was the itty... More

The hotel is in a great location close to union station and all of the monuments! The hotel its self is 101 years old and has not been renovated since the 70's. There is no air conditioning in the rooms and we were placed in a smoking room it was not a good experience. The price is very low for... More

Our family was visiting DC for a quick 3 day, 2 night trip. Our goal was to cram as much as possible into that time. We wanted to be as centrally located as possible and not spend a lot of money on a hotel, because we weren't going to be spending much time there. We needed a comfortable place to... More

Wow... Where do I begin? We booked this room because it was centrally located. Totally made a wrong decision. Stains on walls, mattresses, return air vent clogged, smelled, bought a shower curtain to put on top of bed. I wished I brought bed bug spray!! The towels had a odor to them. Told front desk... Gave us a 10% discount... More

The Harrington was absolutely fine for us. It is good value, and bedrooms are clean. The location is phenomenal, a couple of blocks from the Smithsonian etc. It is basic and rather dated but very convenient and the staff are helpful.

The hotel was recommended by tourist board but rooms are very dated and dirty. Nearby building had construction all night. Although it's convenient would not recommend. Rooms felt unsafe and the beds need new mattresses bad. Suggest looking for other options before you travel.
