This was defianatly the worst hotel experience i have ever had. The service was useless! A broken fridge filled with rotting food from the week before remained in the room throughout the four nights. The room cleaner was extremly lazy and refused to replace our towls or even dress our beds. She did however happen to help herself to the... More

We have stayed at the Harrington Hotel two times. The latest being this past October. We love the location. You are half a block from Pennsylvania Ave. and just two blocks from the White House. The hotel itself is old, but that adds to the historic nature of being in DC. The rooms are clean, don't look too close at... More

The Harrington Hotel opened on March 1, 1914 making it the nation’s oldest continuously operating hotel. Just a half block from Pennsylvania Avenue and two blocks from the White House, the Harrington is within walking distance to many D.C. attractions and the Metro. While not in the luxury class of other D.C. hotels, the Harrington is clean, tidy and has... More

The hotel may be nothing spectacular, but what it lacks in charm is made up for by location and staff. Yes, it is older, but the rooms are clean and it is very safe. Many students, but also a lot of foreign tourists wisely saving their money on hotel rooms so they can enjoy all the DC nightlife! More

Given the decor (think '70s drab), you expect the local police and coroner to be regulars at the Harrington Hotel. I'm pretty sure I've seen my hotel room on reruns of CSI featuring a strangled prostitute. But that's just the decor. The hotel staff are exceedingly pleasant. When I stayed last fall, most of the guests appeared to be high... More

This hotel is nothing fancy, but the rooms have everything you need. They are safe, have a dresser, bed, television, and complimentary wireless internet. The bathroom amenities are minimal, but you're no more than five minutes' walk from a CVS. The desk staff were so kind as to store a particularly valuable item at the front desk while I went... More

This hotel is in an excellent position for tourists being close to the White house Fords Theatre and the house were Lincoln died. It was also easy to access the tour buses from there. The hotel is old but the rooms were clean and adequate for a short period the breakfast in Harrys bar was reasonably priced and adequate for... More

This hotel is right in the middle of it all- short walk to the White House & the Mall, 2 blocks from the Metro, and right down the street from the Hard Rock & Fords Theater. If you are not picky with having an older room and are looking for a good deal in this area, this is a great... More

This was our first hotel on our 4 week tour and it was not bad for one night and if you are on a budget. The room was clean but it could do with a make over, the bedding and towles were clean, there was a hairdryer , shampoo and a bar of soap. It was close to the White House... More

I spent 3 days at an expensive chain hotel in Washington DC in early October, went for a look round Virginia, then had 3 days at the Harrington at the end of my holiday. Wasn't expecting much from it, but I really liked the Harrington! The rooms are basic but clean and tidy, and yes the whole place is a... More
