My husband and I stayed here for a holiday trip. The hotel is older and you can tell, but the staff was very helpful; we needed to check in early and they helped us, they also upgraded our room to a king-size bed. The hotel was in a good location, very close to Macy's and shopping district. The parking garage... more

We chose this hotel after finding that others were not available for the same time period. The price was fantastic and for the money (roughly half that of other in town hotels). We got two adjoining rooms with two bathrooms. The hotel is definitely dated, but it is very clean. The location is fantastic, only a few blocks from the... more

I'm not that picky about hotels, but the Internet service blocks your ability to use most email programs and does not allow VPN. Do not stay here if you happen to like to work when you travel. Rooms are old, tired, and sad. Noisy, too. Not that I mind that, it gives it a NY hotel feel. But, its a... more

If you are looking for the Ritz or the Fairmont this is not it. But the Harrington delivers on location, value and service. I spent five nights at the Harrington in September while on business. As someone who tends to stay at higher end hotels, I was pretty leery of staying at this hotelbut its it's a solid value for... more

If you are looking for a "modern" hotel, this is not it. If you like "history", this is it. Yes, the window opens - no need for heat or air conditioning during our stay last week. Very convenient location to several Metro stations, sight-seeing tours stop was a block away, short walk to several Smithsonian museums, restaurants nearby, White House... more

Old hotel with a history and ideal position. Room was clean & comfortable. We were with our daughter & her boyfriend & stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite - very suitable. Breakfast in the restaurant downstairs is good value. more

don,t be put off by other reviews the hotel may be old but our room and public areas were very clean. The location was very good for all points of interest. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend to anyone whatever the size of family or group. more

I did not find a seperate listing for Harriet's Family Restuarant, so, I had to lump in this review with the Harrington Hotel. That should be okay because this restuarant, that I just ate lunch at is owned by the Harrington Hotel but it's open to the public. The other place to get food is Harry's Bar, on the other... more

My mom and I booked a room before taking a look at the rooms...big mistake! We unloaded the entire car, and immediately noticed a stinky smell throughout the hotel. We opened our door to a tiny room with two beds, an old radiator, a dirty bathroom, a small tv, and every noise was heard through the walls. We decided that... more
