This is my first review I have ever written for Trip Advisor. I felt this warranted a review from me as I expected a lot more from a Grand Hyatt. First the pros: -Great location/Easy access to the metro -Nice lobbyAtrium -Convenient self-park connected to the hotel Now for the cons of my trip: -You have the choice of Valet... more

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt in July 2009. My overall impression is that it is not worth the $200 or $300+ price tag, and it is definitely below par for a top notch hotel. If I had to pay money to stay here, it would not be worth it. PROS: Nice hotel with pretty lobby and atruim. Quiet rooms... more

The Grand Hyatt is a good property, in a convenient location. It is up to the usual Hyatt standards with few surprises, + or - The rooms are up to date and clean, the staff friendly. The only negatives relate to extra charges for internet and business services. There have been some cuts, as the towels were cheap for this... more

I spent three nights at the hotel for a conference at the hotel, and I was immediately awed by the fantastic atrium and the courtesy of the hotel staff. However, although the atrium is grand, the rooms are just average. As others have stated, there is no free wi-fi, walls are thin (we got to listen to trucks rattle down... more

My family stayed at the Grand Hyatt for three nights, and to say the least, we were disappointed. First of all, the bathroom wasn't clean. We changed rooms during the stay, and in both rooms there was a noticeable grime along the edges and in the cornes of the floor, counter, bathtub and toilet. The service was pathetic. Not only... more

We paid $199/night from Travelocity.com, this was about $100 more than every other hotel that we had looked at, however, there is no denying that this was the nicest. Being unfamiliar with the D.C. area, but being aware of it's notoriously high crime rate, keeping my family safe for our vacation was my top priority, and this hotel is located... more

Just spent 3 days there for a conference. Hotel room just average - nothing special. Further from Conference Center than I expected (10-15 minute walk). Room average --- I agree with the other poster about conjoining rooms though --- I heard the phone conversations of the man next door pretty late at night - very annoying. My biggest complaint is... more

Had I spent the $300/night my conference had negotiated, I would have been disappointed in this 4* hotel. My room had a "conjoined" door in it. I had never stayed in one before, and didn't know you would hear every sneeze and conversation going on in the next room. Now I know to refuse those rooms. The room itself was... more

If you're attending a conference at the convention center then the Grand Hyatt is a great hotel to stay at - especially if work is footing the bill! I would have been disappointed to pay $350 a night for the slightly tired looking room we got. The room was clean and the beds comfortable but the hotel in general needed... more

The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The room was large and the beds comfortable. There were many amnities but all at a cost. Don't expect a bottle of water or cookies to be waiting in your room. The location was excellent. We walked to all the monuments as well as the Capitol and White House. If your travels... more
