Exactly what we wanted. A short 3 night stay, cramming in as much as possible, close to the metro station to wish you to all the locations you may want to see, but close enough if you want to stretch the legs. Rooms are clean and spacious. beds are very comfortable. Staff very nice. Could do with fresh water each... More

This hotel is extremely comfortable, with the biggest tourist attractions in the city in walking distance. Rooms are not noisy, and beds are very clean and comfortable. Complimentary Wifi was really fast. Everyone there is nice and helpful. Special Thank you to Gwen!! She was so kind and client oriented to me! For sure, I will stay in this hotel... More

We (2 traveling girlfriends of 56 years' old) absolutely loved this hotel! We were in room #810 which looks out to the Watergate building. Enormous room with 2 queen beds, fridge, microwave, coffee machine (good coffee!), decent bathroom, lots of mirrors and good lighting, large closet for clothes. Beds were a bit soft but very comfortable. Rooms are a bit... More

Spent there 3 nights for my honeymoon. All I can say is that it's a great hotel! I was very pleasently surprised to discover that they had upgraded my room for free, and that I had champagne waiting for me in my room. wonderfuly located in a quiet neighborhood, yet still very close to everything you need. A 5 minute... More

The staff was friendly and our room was nice. The location was perfect as we walked from the Foggy Bottom metro stop with our luggage to the hotel. The sheets were a little rough but I would stay there again.

We always try to stay in Foggy Bottom. The hotel is convenient to the Metro (block and a half away), the Kennedy Center, George Washington University, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, shopping, and restaurants. We always find the staff to be helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and well equipped, but the carpet is a bit tired! The hotel is... More

Excellent boutique hotel, warm, inviting staff and large, well appointed rooms are excellent adjectives to describe the George Washington Inn. Located abut a block from Foggy Bottom Metro station, it was an easy, 2 stop subway ride to the Foggy Bottom stop. We were about half a mile from the Lincoln Monument and never hd to wait more than 3... More

The title says it all. After asking for a quiet room upon check in I've been awake for an hour with the sound of a large buffing machine and scraping furniture over head. Front desk says this happens every two weeks and talk to the manager in the morning.

Hello Trixy007, To ensure our hotel is in top notch shape, we buff our marble floors once a month during hours when our guests are the least likely to be disturbed. Unfortunately, we failed and I sincerely apologize for this. On a positive note I am happy Andron, the Front Office Manager, was able to listen to your concerns and... More

My first time in DC so I had no idea of the scale of the city; it's small. Foggy Bottom has been taken over by the University of George Washington which means the area feels safe and there are enough restaurants to keep you going for a couple of days. It was a 15 minute walk to the Lincoln Memorial,... More

Greetings Imiives, Thank you for such a wonderful review. You are 100% correct; DC is such a large yet small city. One can easily walk from our property to the Capitol in less than an hour plus the terrain is fairly flat for easy walks everywhere. We are overjoyed you found our service and rooms excellent; the team truly prides... More
