We stayed for a few days with my sons ages 7 years and 14 years. We paid about $190/night (not including taxes) (AAA rate). We enjoyed it a lot. The courtesy breakfast was one of the best I've been to in a long while. The made-to-order omelette line was a bit long, but every thing else was great. The staff... more

Tammie and Olive assisted me with a problem that was going to cost me $! They both listened, understood, and went above the call of duty to resolve the mistake I had made. Now for the facility! It is the nicest Hotel I have stayed at in my three years of traveling to DC for work! more

This was our first trip to DC. The Embassy Suites was perfectly situated. About a 15 minute walk from the White House and half an hour to The Mall. I really wish we had these all Suite hotels in the UK. The breakfast was decent and sets you up for the day. The room was spacious and clean. The concierge... more

My husband & I took 4 children, ages 9 - 13, to WDC for their first trip to Washington. We wanted to stay in town, where we could walk or take the Metro to see the sites. While my husband & I got checked in and the car unloaded, a doorman took the 4 tired kids aside with a map... more

A lot has alredy been written about this hotel, so I'll try to cover some different ground by saying that it has definite pros and cons. Pros: clean, located in a good neighborhood, lots of space for the money, free breakfast. Cons: Felt a bit like a college dorm, in that it is efficient but has no ream charm or... more

The free breakfast was a plus, however I would have to say that service there is only so-so. There was an evening manager's reception where they served wine, beer, and other drinks along with a snack which was also a plus. Rooms were ok, and decent for large families since they have suites, but next time I'll probably stay at... more

Rooms are comfortable. Everyone in the family loves the breakfasts, esp the kids. They can make their own waffles, order omelettes, get cereal and fruit, etc. The Manager's happy hour is also a nice way to relax after a day of sight-seeing; free appetizer and drinks (soda, beer, wine and some mixed drinks). Parking is expensive per day. more

We really enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights in Sept 2009 partly because the suite was so big and we had a King bed, but also because we like the surrounding area in Dupont Circle, not to mention "Happy hour" and the ease of using public transport to get there. We took a taxi from Union Station, having arrived... more

As my title suggests, I have marked my highlight of this hotel. (In common with most Embassy Suites) there is a 2hr happy hour in the early evening with a free bar, which is a good saving. The snacks aren't up to much though. The breakfasts are also delicious but be warned there are major queues as a result, get... more
