I really wanted to give this a four, particularly given the price and relative location. However, the service was beyond sub par, as I had to wait in line for over 20 minutes both to check in AND to ask a simple question about our rate. The room itself is ok, very clean though, which I personally value highest. The... More

I stayed here in early August and my stay was fine, even though as other reviewers have noted, the place is badly in need of an update (which they are in the process of undertaking). The staff was friendly and had no major issues except that I was told about a "mandatory $9.95" fee that was added to my bill... More

We arrived in Washington by coach which stopped at Dupont Circle subway station. The hotel was about a 2 minute walk from station. Other reviews have said that the hotel was dated and needs renovation but i didnt see any signs of this. The lobby was large, open and modern and checkin was really quick. The clerk was really pleasant... More

I visited this hotel only for one night. We checked in at almost 4pm and our room wasn't ready (check in is at 3pm). So we walked around Dupont Circle for about 30 min and came back and the room still wasn't ready. Mind you I'm traveling with a 7 month old. Then the clerk kept going back and forth... More

The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, some of the hotel was a little dated but they are in the process of renovating. The parking wasn't cheap but fairly reasonable for a city location. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the metro which can take you to the heart of the sites. There are numerous restaurants withing... More

We visited Washington for 36 hours, so really wanted somewhere close to the main sites. embassy Row is probably 3 km to The White House & maybe 6km to Capitol Hill. Very easy to walk to most sites, or there is a trolley stop close by. the hotel itself is a ok. Rooms are ok, not bad size. They have... More

Rooftop pool is great, no refrigerator in the room which stinks. Breakfast was okay. Close to everything in the city. Beds were cozy and the room was clean. Staff was friendly. Great hotel for the price. Parking price is pretty high.

The Embassy Row Hotel is definitely and old classic, but both the common areas and the rooms have been nicely updated. The area is pleasant, just far enough from the core to be a bit more relaxed. Lot's of great restaurants nearby. The staff were particularly congenial.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I was extremely disappointed to find there was no view of the Potomac River or of the White House. The website had a glistening and romantic picture of the Potomac River in front of the White House, and I was anxious to see that view from my hotel room. Unfortunately,... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Our hotel is in Dupont Circle, nestled between charming row homes and the Avenue of the Embassies. Georgetown is closest to the nearest body of water, only 1.5 miles away. I regret to hear that pictures of Washington, D.C. were deceiving. The accommodations webpage and booking engine describes...
