The hotel itself is going through some considerable restoration work and although this was no inconvenience on the trip, it didn't make up for an altogether average hotel. Rooms are spacious and have everything you would expect. Staff were also helpful. FITNESS NOTES: The 'included' breakfast is awful; UHT milk, packets of sugary cereals, dry bagels and poor coffee. I... More

Do not stay here! I wasted two hours of my day booking checking in and leaving!! Unadvisable. Cold lobby. Slow service. Nice rooms when they will be done but misleading website. What more can I say, I don't recommend this place. Don't stay here.

Dear Catherine, Thank you for writing a review. I regret to hear about the check-in and check-out experience; I'll speak to our team about what happened. You are correct our hotel is not complete, however the new rooms are available if you book the Ambassador room type or ask to upgrade at the front desk. Either way, I'd like to... More

It was definitely my worst experience. I paid 150 per night. They were renovating the hotel. It will be done around April 2015. The staff are very rude. They don't have any restaurants, nothing!! I will never ever go back there.

It's a trap! First things first, in the information listed they didn't mentioned that most of the hotel is under construction. There is no access to the fitness center, room service for food. Only list that they are having some construction during business hours. Not true at all! Second, they have a list of hidden charges such as $47.07 fee... More

Dear Lyramin, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I regret to hear you weren't aware of the renovations. We are very transparent about the renovations. We agree that many websites could do a better job communicating the renovation. I have contacted my front office manager about your bill. If you wouldn't mind contacting Derrick directly at... More

Just finished a 5-night stay at Embassy Row. Obviously, the situation was much different than it was when my husband and I stayed there last summer and were provided with a great breakfast buffet and had room to roam in the lobby and public areas. That said, the room itself (queen) was perfectly comfortable, albeit on the small side, especially... More

We booked with booking.com. We searched online for days for a "smoking " room and several websites assured us this hotel had them. There was also nothing about the renovations going on. We arrived about 7pm. We passed the hotel twice because it looks nothing like a hotel right now. Construction is everywhere. No visible sign for the hotel. You... More

When we booked this hotel, it said that it was under renovation. I thought perhaps a room at a time. When we arrived, the entrance was blocked with dumpsters and we had to enter through the garage. The room was tiny. There was no closet- you had to use a metal rack in the bathroom. There coffee maker was on... More

Dear Grace, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I regret to hear about your experience. Our housekeepers refresh each room daily, unless there's a "Do Not Disturb" sign. If that's the case, they are not able to enter your room to provide toiletries. In regard to The Rooftop pool and bar, due to Washington, D.C.'s seasons,... More

Very easy to reach out using subway from the Dupont circle station. Around of the hotel is embassies from a lot of country. And a lot of worldwide restaurants from Indian to Italian restaurant. Free WiFi is provided very convenient.. Unfortunately, when I was staying there they are in the construction process so its little bit noisy on the morning... More

I booked this hotel on booking.com where it was clearly mentioned that the hotel was undergoing construction so I wasn't surprised upon arrival. Moreover the (low) price of my room compensated very adequately for the construction for the one night I was there. Some comments however: - first time I entered a hotel on foot through the entrance to the... More

We stay here when we visit DC. It has always been a great place to stay and in early December the rates are very good. We stayed here for six nights arriving Thanksgiving day. Our total room cost was just under $500. We made the reservation in August and did not know about the construction at that time. I see... More
