We chose this hotel for a long weekend stay for the family based on price and location while my husband attended a business conference. We thought it was still under renovation but to our surprise the rooftop pool and restaurant had just opened. The location was perfect. You turn the corner and you're at the Dupont Circle metro. We were... More

The hotel is surprising nice for the dollars you pay - a very good value. In a great location, close to Metro and Dupont Circle, with much to do. Rooftop a real plus. One criticism, a major one, is that they are constantly understaffed at the front desk - would seem like an easy problem to fix.

We were concerned about a few recent negative reviews but decided to give The Embassy Row Hotel a try. The location is ideal- a few minutes walk to Dupont Circle, the Metro, the many restaurants and stores and the wonderful Sunday Farmer's Market and it is only a 20 to 30 minute walk to Georgetown, Adams Morgan and Columbia Heights.... Good place to stay if you don't want to pay much, I suppose. Seriously understaffed. There's a concierge desk but no one actually mans it. The only vending machines are on the 3rd floor, I tried to buy a bottled water but it ate my money. I called down to the desk and they explained they could refund my money... More

Dear LaureHC, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Our hotel staff takes all reviews very seriously and I want you to know that we appreciate your feedback. Bottled water and fruit water are both usually available in the lobby. An assortment of bananas, apples and oranges are usually served at the continental breakfast. I regret to... More

Really nice hotel, Rooms are clean beds and pillows are so comfy. Air Conditioner worked so well, we kept it freezing in the 92 degree weather outside. The breakfast is outstanding and the roof top pool/bar is just out of this world with some real good music and a city view to die for. This hotel is in the best... More

Nice hotel, comfortable bed and clean room. Free substantial buffet breakfast, except for fruit flies on the fruit one day. The hotel in undergoing an updating/remodeling. It is needed. We didn't see a lot of work going on around us so was still nice. The staff were very helpful AND cordial. They were so helpful in "getting us around". This... More

CLEAN, QUIET, PEACEFUL and seemingly near eveything I needed/wanted to be. The front desk & wait staff was courteous, helpful and ALWAYS polite and pretty prompt about getting/flagging a cab. A bit on the pricey side, which overall it balanced out. They served a FULL SCALE BREAKFAST, a VERY NICE Rooftop bar/pool that had 'guest receptions/happy hours'-Lovely view! Rooms were... More

My son & I traveled to DC for the 4th of July weekend (which I would highly recommend) however our hotel was a disappointment for a number of reasons. First if you are a Hilton Honors member you need to know that this is NOT a Hilton property. I saw that it was a few different places on the internet... More

Great experience until the air conditioner stopped working on our second night. They attempted a repair but eventually had to move to another room the third night. Overall the accommodations were excellent and was a good value.

I booked a reservation at this hotel and had to cancel. After about seven phone calls between hotel management and getaroom.com, I was refused a refund. Keep in mind I'm active duty military and on my honeymoon. We had to cut the trip short because I am stationed at Fort Bragg and North Carolina does not recognize same sex marriages.... More
