My two girlfriends and I stayed here to celebrate a birthday. The location is in the center of everything and easy to find. The hotel is simple. No frills no fuss. In the summer the rooftop bar and pool are a huge draw and the bartender Rich made us some mean drinks. The area has nice views of neighboring embassies... More

We stayed at this hotel in a few weeks ago and really enjoyed our stay. The newly renovated pool was open. For travelers interested in using the pool, guests under 18 are not permitted to use the pool deck after 5PM. Furthermore, they do sell day passes which are commonly purchased by locals. These two items made the pool deck... More

great great location, in the heart of everything. Just around the corner restaurants at your feet, train which is amazing and so clean just down the block or hop on loval buses or why not take a double decker bus to tour washington. So lets start with the hotel, yes its pet friendly but they do charge a fee. Also... More

I booked this hotel through hotwire, ignoring the low stars. My mistake. Paid in full through my beloved hotwire.com. I checked in and they could not find my reservation. I sat there waiting for 15 minutes while they searched. I consider it lucky that they let me in. If it was a busy night, I would have been out on... More

Dear Bethany, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The daily hotel service fee is $9.95 each night per room and includes access to the fitness center, Wi-Fi, and unlimited local and long distance phone calls. It is listed on Hotels.com on our hotel's listing under "Resort Fee." I regret to hear this was a surprise, as... More

After spending a week here in early August, I was anxious to book the hotel again for my next business week in Washington, DC. Though there are many hotels in the area, the ambience, helpfulness of the staff, location, breakfast and pool, make it very inviting. Yes, it needs renovation, it is an old hotel but the renovation is scheduled.... More

I really wanted to give this a four, particularly given the price and relative location. However, the service was beyond sub par, as I had to wait in line for over 20 minutes both to check in AND to ask a simple question about our rate. The room itself is ok, very clean though, which I personally value highest. The... More

I stayed here in early August and my stay was fine, even though as other reviewers have noted, the place is badly in need of an update (which they are in the process of undertaking). The staff was friendly and had no major issues except that I was told about a "mandatory $9.95" fee that was added to my bill... More

Dear Artbrutnewyork, Thank you for writing a review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in Washington, D.C. We are very transparent about the $9.95/daily service fee which is required on all accommodations each night; it's mentioned on our website, website booking engine, and external booking websites. I regret to hear that it did not come across as transparent. In regards... More

We arrived in Washington by coach which stopped at Dupont Circle subway station. The hotel was about a 2 minute walk from station. Other reviews have said that the hotel was dated and needs renovation but i didnt see any signs of this. The lobby was large, open and modern and checkin was really quick. The clerk was really pleasant... More

I visited this hotel only for one night. We checked in at almost 4pm and our room wasn't ready (check in is at 3pm). So we walked around Dupont Circle for about 30 min and came back and the room still wasn't ready. Mind you I'm traveling with a 7 month old. Then the clerk kept going back and forth... More

The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, some of the hotel was a little dated but they are in the process of renovating. The parking wasn't cheap but fairly reasonable for a city location. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the metro which can take you to the heart of the sites. There are numerous restaurants withing... More

Dear AlBex D, Thank you for writing a review. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the nearby restaurants and new rooftop pool. In regards to the décor, every inch of the hotel will be touch during our $15 million renovation.
