We stayed here with our two children, ages 8 and 11 and it was perfect. Great location: we walked or took the Metro to the Smithsonian museums, walked around the corner to the Library of Congress and would have walked down to Eastern Market but didn't get the chance.

Very short walk from the Capitol South Metro station, in a safe area, and amazing quality, especially for the price - most hotels in DC are two or more times as much. I will be staying here next time I come to DC.

This is place is great. Really. Great decor. Clean suites with lots of amenities. Walking distance to lots of places to eat and drink. Also easy to get cabs from this location. We had a great stay for a great price. :)

My wife and I were in the Capitol Hill Suites for a week just before Christmas.
The room was large and well-appointed. Wired high-speed Internet was flawless. Breakfast was in the adjoining building, and was beyond most "continental breakfasts" -- lots of fruit, juice, cereals, many breads, yogurt, etc.
