the room is small and has no fridge. the staff is personable and helpful. the bathroom is updated and clean. we had a king sized bed and the a/c was much appreciated. water and ice in the lobby and free wifi was available. i like the old buildings and the neighborhood. cafes are a couple of blocks away.

There were roaches in the room!! When I told the guy about it he went to the room that I was suppose to stay in and killed them. I refused to stay there and wanted a refund. He did not want to give me a refund because he had offered me another room in the SAME building. This place is... More

You can see how this might have between charming once, but it's like an aging beauty queen. Marble stairs to the front desk are hidden by a worn and stained carpet. Old paintings of DC hang above walls scuffed by luggage nobody has bothered to clean. Signs of finesse are there, but masked by age. The rooms are super snug,... More

I totally enjoyed my stay when I was there, the room for 2 people was the best paid accommodation I had, as I totally loved the beds & tv that were in the bedroom. If I ever go to Washington DC again, I will be staying there again

It really was a nice quiet hotel, we stayed in RM 406. Obviously the room was small but it wasn't bad and the staff was nic. The greatest thing about this hotel was location, you can see the White House and Washington Monument from the hotel, we actually walked there on the first day. Georgetown is also close, to go... We had a reservation for a room with a queen bed. We came around 6pm to check in. Clerk at desk confirmed that we were in the system but would not let us check in. At first said room was not ready, we said we will wait in lobby since we wanted to check in and be sure we had... More

The staff at this hotel were so helpful and charming. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was convenient, if a little walk from the metro and the Big Bus stop (only yellow route so you had to go a while before you could change onto another route). Restaurants were near, so was the whole food shop, doctors and pharmacy.... More

I am literally staying in this hotel as i write this. First, parking is a 15 minute walk away and is $30. That's if you leave before 8am haha. Otherwise it's another $13. So count on a $43 parking bill. 2nd, booked on kayak and paid in full a week ahead of time. My card was authed again for the... More
