I stayed at the Embassy Inn August 26-28 on an emergency trip to Washington, DC and am very happy with the location (decent walking distance to the Dupont Circle Metro and attractions) and the service provided. The room was small but cozy. Unlike some of the reviews, the carpet in the room I stayed in was very clean and there... More

The room is small but quaint, the essentials. The bathroom is pretty tight but nothing you can't handle. Although we checked in at dawn and the clerk at reception didnt speak good enough english and he was hard to understand and couldn't give us clear information about how parking worked and we got a fine. Besides that, the mattres was... More

The good location is great as it's about 10-12 minute walk to the White House with several restaurants and cafes dotted around. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. The bad we had booked a king size bed and it felt so tiny, the air conditioning unit was right next to your face and was quite noisy.... More

I stayed there on January with my family and was a great surprise! Althought the room is very small, the hotel is nice, bathroom renewed, with a great shower and no bathtube, clean, and a great location! 2Metro stations 4 blocks away, bus stop in front , Mc Donalds and a great supermarket one block walking... White House some blocks... More

The hotel is clean and have an excellent location you can easily walk to the important places in the city. The room are small and definitely they don't know a lot of service. But you're no paying for an grand tourism or five star resort. I mean the price tells everything. You can try if you prefer spend in sometime... More

"European style" means tiny room. Just big enough for a queen sized, somewhat hard mattressed bed and a little desk. Tiny bathroom. Our stay was quiet. We opted out of the $5 breakfast, preferring to go to one of the many Starbucks close by. The location is great - straight down the street from the White House. We walked to... More

We stayed here for one night on Friday. The hotel is located in a good residential neighborhood- 16th street and R. Less than 10 minutes walking to DuPont Circle. While the location is pretty good, the room is very dated- full size bed with two old chairs, sporadic wifi although advertised to have free wifi. Very loud traffic noise all... More

We were supposed to stay at the District Hotel but since there was a renovation going on in that hotel, the receptionist transferred us to their partner hotel which is the Embassy Inn. They arranged the transfers of course and gave us free breakfast for the inconvenience. Service is good, staff and receptionists are courteous. Internet connection was on and... More

I really wanted to like this hotel - seemed like a perfect find in a great neighborhood at a great price. But I'll list the pros and cons and you can decide if the savings are worth it (I stayed for 5 nights): Pros: -Location: It has a GREAT location in a nice neighborhood that is both close to the...
