Very nice hotel, great location, but the staff was exceptional. The bellman, the maintenance guy who helped my son set up his videogame and the front desk staff were all great. more

I stayed here while in DC for training. It was no more than a 5 minute walk to training, which was a bonus. The room was on the smaller side with huge bed, however as a solo traveler the room size worked well for me. I had an excellent view of the Postal Square Building and Union Station from my... more

The Phoenix Park Hotel is a little touch of Ireland in the nation's capital. The hotel is located almost right across the street from Union Station so the location is perfect for traveling on the Metro. It doesn't hurt that The Dubliner Pub and restaurant is in the hotel. The rooms are well priced and very nice. This is definitely... more

My wife and I stayed for the second time in several years at the Phoenix Park. We live in the DC area about 40 miles outside of the city, so we sometimes like to stay downtown during events that we like to attend. The hotel is very nicely maintained. While the rooms that we've gotten haven't been large, they are... more

Our stay at the Phoenix Park hotel was great. The hotel has a classical charm for those travelers who may want to get away from run of the mill chain hotels. The proximity to Union Station is handy for those who want to use the public transit or tour companies. The staff was very friendly. The onsite restaurant is charming... more

The Phoenix Park is a beautiful hotel with a friendly, efficient and attentive staff. I enjoyed a very nice meal with my family at the Dubliner. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to D.C. and would definately stay there again. more

As America’s center of Irish Hospitality, the Phoenix Park Hotel combines warm Celtic charm with an unmatched Capitol Hill location. The historic Phoenix Park, a premier option for downtown Washington DC hotels near Union Station, reflects the aura and elegance of an 18th century country estate. European in ambience yet modern in amenities, the intimate lobby sets the tone for... more

We travelled across the USA on a tour organised by Great Rail Journeys of York between the 7th and 27th October 2009. We spent two nights at the Phoenix Park Hotel, an Irish themed hotel. This is situated 10 minutes from Capitol Hill and 5 minutes from Union Station. Our room was beautifully decorated with matching wallpaper and curtains and... more

I appreciate the time you took to review the Phoenix Park Hotel. It is nice to hear you had an enjoyable stay while on your tour with Great Rail Journeys. The instruction on tipping etiquette was added due to experiences we have had with European travelers, who often times have a different etiquette or unsure about the proper etiquette in...

I've passed by this hotel many times, recently stayed there for a night. The location is convenient to Union Station and the US Capitol. Staff were warm and friendly, and my room was comfortable, with (and this is pretty rare these days) lots of working incandescent lights! Most hotel rooms these days are poorly lit, with compact fluorescent bulbs, so... more
