The location was perfect. The hotel staff was attentive and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable. The air conditioner worked great which was a blessing considering how hot it was outside. The shower had great water pressure which is unusual for a hotel but the grout around the tub had a lot of mildew in it. Our coffee maker was... More

I was at the Phoenix Park hotel in June on a business trip, and I found the hotel to be comfortable and charming. The hotel was old, as you can guess from the fact that it is historical. There are things about it that are kind of cute and other things that are just old and outdated. The elevators are... More

Thank you for sharing your comments and we are so pleased to have had you as our guest. And yes, we agree on the need to upgrade the elevators and as you saw during your visit and as our signs indicated we have elevator replacement currently underway this summer and this project will be completed in September. This is part... More

You can see the hotel when you walk out of Union Station. It is an easy walk to the Capital, the Library of Congress, or the Supreme Court. It is a little longer to the Smithsonian buildings, but still not too far. Being a family trip we got a good deal on the weekend. The interior room we were given... More

My husband and I chose Phoenix Park for its location. We invited his parents and the four of us rode overnight on Amtrak from Savannah, GA to Union Station, then made the short walk to the hotel. Although we did not need it, they do have valet service for those who arrive by car. Check-in took almost no time, and... More

We are pleased you and your family were comfortable and enjoyed your visit. While I am happy the missing license was found I apologize for the delay in getting it back to you. This is not the way we handle matters such as this - though we never just put something important like that in an stamped envelope but send... More

We had a reservation for Pheonix Park Hotel for one night. We had booked a weekend package so that we could get 50% off parking. When we got to the hotel the pull up area where Valet takes your car was already full of parked cars. We went inside to check in and were asked to move our vehicle, when... More

We appreciate you sharing your comments. I am sorry you were not fully pleased with your visit. As you noted, the hotel has currently begun a renovation program beginning with the replacement of our guest elevators which will put one out of service during this project The room renovation will occur later this year and all rooms, bathrooms and public... The check in staff were very rude. When we had a problem with the room being unbearably hot someone came up and was unconcerned. Finally they brought up a fan. I have sta yes at this hotel before and was satisfied. I go to DC often and will never stay there again. I also will never recommend them to anyone... More

I am sorry to read about the A/C problem you experienced and that our staff were unable or not prepared to assist you. As you seem from other past comments we are known for our high level of service and hospitality so I am not sure what occurred here and how our staff members may have been rude. This is... More

We spent a couple nights at the Phoenix Park hotel. We arrived by car and the valet service was quick and helpful. The location was excellent, as we easily walked to Union Station and the Mall and museum area. Our room was clean and comfortable. The view was not great (back alley), but we kept the drapes closed and were... More

My husband and I chose The Phoenix Park Hotel for our June 2015 wedding for its historical charm and beautiful atmosphere. We felt it was more unique and special than many other hotels we toured, but appreciated the convenience that a hotel wedding offered our guests. As soon as we met with Tracy Zahn, the hotel’s wonderful wedding and event... More

A block from Union Station and extremely convenient to Congress, the library of Congress, the Folger Shakespeare Library, and all other Capitol Hill attractions, this older but nicely maintained hotel has a friendly staff and comfortable rooms. I would definitely stay there again.
