My spouse and I went here to celebrate his bday, stayed 1 night. The staff were wonderful and even greeted my spouse happy bday! little touches like that mean a lot. the room was small but the charm of the hotel like its front desk made up for it. Besides, the whole idea is to be romantic... right? the bed... More

I really agree with the last reviewer: There is only one good thing about this hotel: excellent location. We had a very, very, very small room which was almost completely filled with a double bed. Old and dusty interior. Room service trays stayed in the gangway for hours and hours. There was no wifi in our room, although 'free wifi'... More

It distresses me to hear that you experienced problems during your stay and did not feel that you received a satisfactory response to your challenges. I am aware of the feedback we have on the handful of cozy rooms we have in the hotel and while some travelers do not mind the size of the rooms I understand that others... More

First, in fairness it needs to be said that I was not an overnight guest but rather attended a conference at the hotel. From the website, the hotel looked wonderful yet alas the experience was not. And thankfully I did not choose to spend $350/night to stay as others did. Upon arriving, the man at the front door was chatting... More

I have shared your comments with the management team of the Dubliner Restaurant & Pub. They lease the space from the hotel and while they are a seperate entity we recognize that the public bathrooms for the hotel are located in the restaurant. I am working with their management team to come up with a better solution to ensure all... More

The location was perfect. The hotel is dated; however it was very clean, accomodating and the staff quite courteous. The proximity to Union Station was outstanding. While some hotels in the area charge up to $35/day for parking, we paid $22/day and never moved the car again until our departure. The eateries at Union Station came in handy and having... More

This hotel is very close to Union Station. We caught the train from Reagan airport & it was a relatively easy walk with our luggage to the hotel. All the staff, from the guys at the desk to the bell boys, were very friendly & helpful. The free Wi-Fi was great! Our room was fairly small, but we had a... More

$149/night for a decent hotel in Washington DC? Even when you add in those crazy DC taxes, this is a great deal. Location: just a few blocks from both Congress and Union Station - perfect! The rooms are definitely so/so. My first room was so small that claustrophopia set in. Fortunately, the front desk was happy to move me to... More

Right across from Union Station, the location can not be beat, but the hotel is old and each of the rooms has a different shape. Some are spacious with two windows, others are dark and cramped with one small window that looks out into someone else's window - thats what we had. One small trash can, tiny bathroom and a... More

Our room was clean and a good size, and was quite a good price. The bed was reasonably comfortable. There were a couple issues however. The aircon system is obviously an antique, and was incredibly noisy. Also, room service needs improvement. Our dinner took forever to come, and our overnight breakfast order was never collected. The location is close to... More

The Phoenix Park Hotel is about a block and a half from Union Station where you can catch the metro or Amtrak. I took the metro from the airport, so it was an easy walk to the hotel. We walked over there for an inexpensive breakfast each morning before we caught the metro each day. Union Station also has shops,... More

The Phoenix Park is a lovely Irish boutique hotel in an excellent location; only 2 blocks from the Metro & Amtrak Station, which houses many shops and restaurants, although the hotel Dubliner Irish Pub & Restaurant is wonderful, too. All tour buses and trolleys confregate at the Amtrak station, too, making D.C. sights very convenient -- also within walking distance... More
