Loved this small boutique hotel. Old world elegance. My sister and I traveled to DC for both business and pleasure. Our room was a bit on the small side, but in a good location. Our room was comfortable and hotel was quaint. Michael L. at the front desk was such a gentlemen such a class act. He provided us with... More

Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Washington, DC. Outstanding location near Union Station. Competent, helpful staff. Having the Dubliner next door was a special treat for enjoyong food and drink.

The 2015 Mars Society convention was held at Catholic University and the designated hotel was the Phoenix Park. With a downtown price of $119.00 who could pass this up? Within a few steps to Grand Central Station, the bus stop and the Capital this was a great choice to combine the event and touring. The staff was outstanding from the... More

I just returned from a 3 day assignment in DC and stayed at this Hotel because I had heard good things. Overall not a bad hotel but it did offer a few surprises. No where did I get told before arriving that repairs to the elevators was ongoing, only one small elevator was running and believe me you did have... More

Thank you for your visit and sharing your comments. We are happy you enjoyed your visit and sorry our elevator modernization project, that does create some traffic delays during the morning and evening rush hour, caused you some inconvenience. This project is expected to be completed by the end of September. We appreciate your business., More

Very close to Union Station and walking distance to Capitol and National Mall. 67 yr old woman and 11 yr old granddaughter - we did a lot of walking and enjoyed the closeness of the train station for a variety of places to get food and take back to Hotel and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Also could... More

(I must preface my review by stating my wife and I booked the Phoenix Park Hotel through Priceline and I'm aware they book hotels at reduced rates, therefore, the hotel is disinclined to offer you premium treatment). The Bad: 1. Room Size. This hotel room was unquestionably the smallest room in which my wife and I have ever stayed. We... More

I am sorry to read you were not fully pleased with your visit. I am happy that you found our location ideal and appreciated our classic style. Our room sizes are not large as we often state on this site but as you mentioned, room size is one factor of room rate and larger rooms are available at a higher... More

As a family of 5 we took 2 double bedrooms. Located on the sixth floor we had rooms 608 & 609. They were next to each other but no adjoining door, which was fine for us having older children. Rooms are a decent size and the decor a step up from traditional hotels. Of the 2 rooms 609 has the... More

I love this place, an old hotel next to everything I love about DC-especially my favorite Irish Pub. The latter can get a little noisy if you are staying on a lower floor, so stay in one of the top rooms if you can. This hotel has a legion of fans, and is booked all the time,

All aspects of this hotel went above and beyond our expectations..from checking in, housekeeping, dining, and answering questions were done in a friendly and smiling manner. The location was close to Union Station and the Metro which made getting around easy. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again.
