I have been here with my wife during our 2 days in Washington DC. Room is nice and well furnished with typical Irish style but we really enjoined it. Only grey point is the noisy from the street any time of the day/night. The restaurant is also very good and the food is delicious and of course the beers are... More

It's an older hotel, but has a lot of charm. Room was small but perfect for me. Great location in D.C. and also is connected to an Irish pub... what more could you need? Staff was friendly and helpful, and the wifi was free. I would stay here again.

My husband & I actually had reservations for this weekend, however, my husband unexpectantly got sick and had to be admitted to the hospital. I called the Phoenix Park Hotel to cancel our reservation and to see if it was possible to change our travel dates and still keep the great rate we had. The rates had gone up, but... More

There are so many wonderful aspects to this place. The staff is nice, helpful, and they go out of their way to accommodate your every need. They're happy to make recommendations to restaurants, tourist attractions, directions, etc. This is much appreciated when you're a first-time visitor. The other wonderful thing is the location. It's right across from the Metro, which... More

This was my first stay at Pheonix Park Hotel and I cannot begin to tell how much we enjoyed it! The staff was warm, friendly, informative, helpful...and not in the way they smothered you! The food was great while we were there, the Housekeeping ladies were very polite, we always came back to a sparkling clean room each day! Everything... More

I was visiting with my adult daughter and we spent one night here. There is a metro stop located about one block away near Union Station but we were able to walk to the Newseum, National Portrait Gallery and National Gallery of Art. The front desk staff was very welcoming and we got a taxi to go to dinner right... More

This hotel is perfectly located, clean and the staff is so friendly. It's a short walk to Union Station and Wal-Mart. There is a great bar downstairs. The bed was so comfortable, I only wish it had a full size mirror and fridge.

Check in/out was very fast. Bed was the most comfortable bed I have every slept in. Very clean and quite for the area. Walking distance to just about everything. Any place else we needed to go we had Union Station right across the street.

We have stayed at a number of different hotels in Washington. The Phoenix Park strikes an excellent balance between comfort, cost, and convenience. We arrived on Amtrak and it is a short walk to the hotel from Union Station, the convenience to transportation is a major plus for this hotel. We enjoyed the Historic Hotel feel of the rooms and... My experience with this hotel was awesome!! The beds are extremely comfortable and the staff is terrific. Rooms are small, very European in feel, which I thought was cool. We stayed there because my niece was having her wedding reception at the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for a wedding reception! The food was probably the best that I've... More
