I stayed here for one night and noticed that the hotel's soundproofing is limited - major traffic starts at 5am. Decoration and furnishings are somewhat dated, reflecting why the Capitol Skyline is cheaper than other nearby hotels. Other than that, the hotel is functional, and all of the staff were very helpful and efficient.

Our European vacation was cut short, a relative contacted Capital Skyline and a room was acquired at the last minute for us. The manager went above and beyond to accomodate us and the staff was efficient and very friendly. Our 9th floor room had a nice view of the Capital. The Mall is only a ten minute walk however a... During our week-long business stay, the staff at the Skyline were amazing: friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Service was seamless, the rooms were clean and the night staff, in particular, went above and beyond to watch out for me. I arrived late after a cross country flight and was greeted by name, and completely taken care of by Lamya and her... More

we booked this hotel very late and as far as value for money goes it was a great choice . Large clean rooms and good allround service . Shuttle bus will take you to all the major downtown attractions which are not really that far away . 15 minute walk but it is beside an extremely busy freeway . Only... More

We stayed here one night because it was close to the ballpark and the Courtyard (which is nicer) was booked. It did the job. We were able to park at the hotel and walk 1/2 mile to the stadium which fit our needs. The room was adequate but overpriced. All in all, it did the job without distinction!!!

Stayed at the Skyline for a combined business and pleasure trip. Don't let the 70s decor or the location fool you. This hotel is just right. Reasonably priced, 2.5 blocks from the metro (rail system), walking distance to the Nationals ballpark and good resturant on premises and for fast food, McD across the street. Very large, clean rooms with comfortable... More

The hotel itself shows a little wear and tear, but was very clean. We were so fortunate to be greeted by Dave Loiseau, the Director of Operations of this hotel. Honestly, he MADE our trip to DC. He began by allowing us, and the other couple we were meeting, to check in FOUR hours early! He then took his time... More

Good hotel a little bit out of things but easy to get around once you get metro and circulator information. Clean rooms which are rather nice. Wifi is rather slow, but it is free. Shuttle service is good but get in early, as only 8 seats. Restaurant down stairs is nice but meals are rather small for the price. Decent... More

In short, this hotel was a dive. It's in a seedy, noisy area of town, it's run down, outdated, and has worn furnishings. The windows in our first room would not open, and it was very stuffy all night, as the AC unit did not appear to be working properly. We asked to change rooms immediately the following morning, as... I booked this trip before reading the reviews. If I had read the reviews first I don't think I would have booked this hotel. First and foremost I have to say the staff were very nice. The view from my window wasn't all that great. Yeah! I could see the Capitol but the other distractions were taking away the view... More
