I stayed here with my teenage daughter and thought the place was really inconsistent. We took the Metro to the hotel - arriving at the Navy Yard stop around 8:30 PM and it was completely deserted - as was the neighborhood - with the exception of a few homeless men. Make sure you get specific directions as we wondered around... more

I was attending a meeting at the Library of Congress and wanted a hotel within walking distance. Originally Google Maps displayed the wrong location (which I reported as an error). The hotel is right on S. Capitol St SE at I St. It's a block south of I-395. The rate was better than anything in the area. I've paid almost... more

We stayed one night for a business trip and found this an interesting, quirky hotel. Located somewhat out of the way but not too far, and the price was great. The lobby is spacious and tastefully, if not exhorbitantly appointed, and the rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was a happy surprise. It was 3 PM and... more

We arrived in DC around midnight, after being on the road for 8 hours (with a 7 year old!). We got lost & did not know what road we were on. We called the hotel and through the guidance we received over the phone, we arrived safely before 1AM. The following morning when we were walking down the hallway approaching... more

Great interior and exterior designs, throughout the hotel. The rooms are a bit out of date and don't match the building design and lobby. The service was quite bad. Staff were very rude. They do not offer room service, which is a major let down. The internet in the room is a joke. I ordered it on the TV and... more

Although it's not on a walking distance from all the main highlights of the city, we we're very happy to have stayed at this hotel. The room we had was exquisite! It was very spacious, the bed was so comfortable (and huge) that we actually slept in without noticing. A bit noisy though at night, a lot of police sirens,... more

We were looking for a budget hotel in DC, and found this hidden gem. Some say here that it is in the a "ghetto", but I personally think they were torn town to build apartment buildings, and the apartments were built, but during a pretty bad time. (The housing recession) I think it would be much more lively. Its mostly... more
