The absolute worst experience I have had traveling. This place was more like a cheap hostel than a B&B (though it wasn't cheap). The first room I was put in did not have working heat and it was late December and freezing. The girl at the desk was hostile and told me to use the space heater (which is not... More

My apologies. Our intent is to exceed your expectations and we failed in that regard. We appreciate the feedback and will certainly concentrate our efforts to improve... More

The inn is located on a quiet street, but very walkable to the zoo and metro. Some of the earlier reviews mentioned safety - I don't even know why that was an issue to mention. Everything seemed perfectly lovely, even late night/early morning when we were sometimes out. The breakfast had many great choices and the common rooms were delightful.... More

Adams Inn makes for a unique stay and was an interesting experience for us. The street where it was located was nice and quiet and there was a supermarket close by on the adjacent street. The inn was nicely decorated with a rustic old charm feel and our room has a nice street view from the window. However, there were... More

My wife and I have stayed here many times on brief (3-7 day) stays in Washington, DC, for business and to visit friends. We vastly prefer this to same-same box hotels/motels. We always find a warm but unobtrusive welcome. Good clean un-elaborate rooms in pleasing traditional row house in unspoiled neighborhood. We enjoy communal breakfast with variety of people from... We had a great experience at Adam's Inn. My husband and I shared an third floor corner room with my parents for a week. It was quiet and roomy. The window opened to the garden in back. My parents stayed in three other rooms over the course of the next three weeks. Not all the rooms were quite as nice... More

We have stayed here before, and it is always great. My husband and I brought a group of exchange students over Veterans Day weekend. We stayed in the little carriage house behind the inn, and it was perfect. It has a nicely stocked kitchenette. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are good, and there are snacks and... More

Wonderful experience overall! The innkeeper was so helpful with information about surrounding area, and even set out breakfast in a bag Bc I had an early interview. Has the feeling of an upscale European hostel :)

Really good place! Clean, very cosy and friendly staff. No bad comments. I would give 5 stars if the breakfast was larger , for example ham, more cheese or eggs could be included ? I would definitely recommend it and stay there again if I was to go back to Washington :)

My husband and I were looking for someplace to stay with our two children that would not be a sleezy hotel. This place was perfect. The front desk staff was helpful and nice. The breakfast each morning was good and there was always interesting conversations over the table. The place was quiet and felt like home.

I was visiting DC unexpectedly, at short notice, and not knowing Washington was at a loss to find a reasonable place to stay. Arriving, tired, from Europe i appreciated the warm welcome and directions to help me navigate the very interesting neighbourhood in order to reach various meetings on time. Adam's Inn proved quiet/easy to sleep, charming, well located and... More
