My husband and I received a weekend getaway to the Adam's inn, along with a dinner cruise on the Spirit of Washington. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Inn and in Washington DC. We walked throughout the community and had dinner at the Rumba café on 18th street. The Inn was very close to the National Zoo...which we also... More

The receptionist was lazy and unresponsive. Her choice of shirt "Genius by birth, Slacker by choice" was of no help, either. When we asked her for directions to the subway, her response was to turn left and we would just see it. We we were lost for ages and had to take a cab. She was very unhelpful also at... More

My girlfriend and I traveled America for 3 weeks in August-September 2014. We stayed in Adam's Morgan, DC for 3/4 nights and we were carrying as little as possible, on a budget. Positives: We stayed in a room with a shared bathroom. Both the room and bathroom were clean and had plenty of facilities. The room had a sink, air... More

Thank you for staying at Adam's Inn. Thanks also for the wonderful review. We are really sorry to learn that you walked so far from the Metro Rail(our subway trains) stations each night because we are much, much closer to two different Metro Rail stations. You can walk to the Red Line at Woodley Park or the Green/Yellow Line at... More

Me and my partner stayed over the weekend at the basement suite and it was just perfect. We had our privacy and even an independent entrance and the room felt really cozy. The employees are incredibly friendly and the breakfast was really good. Also Adams Morgan is the best neighbourhood to stay in DC, many bars and restaurants nearby, easy... More

Recently returned for our fourth visit. Very nice, quiet, comfortable B&B, great location for Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, Mt Pleasant activities. We asked again for Room 203, which is quiet and spacious and comfortable, even though it would be enhanced by a sink located in the bathroom instead of in the vestibule, and by a stronger stream from the shower... The Adam's Inn is a fascinating location with a feeling of "home" that is hard to find somewhere else. I particularly enjoyed the big dining room where breakfast is served is all wooden finished and with an old fashion atmosphere. Rooms and bathrooms could be better. My room was overall clean but the mattress of the bed was very old... More

The absolute worst experience I have had traveling. This place was more like a cheap hostel than a B&B (though it wasn't cheap). The first room I was put in did not have working heat and it was late December and freezing. The girl at the desk was hostile and told me to use the space heater (which is not... More

The inn is located on a quiet street, but very walkable to the zoo and metro. Some of the earlier reviews mentioned safety - I don't even know why that was an issue to mention. Everything seemed perfectly lovely, even late night/early morning when we were sometimes out. The breakfast had many great choices and the common rooms were delightful.... More

Adams Inn makes for a unique stay and was an interesting experience for us. The street where it was located was nice and quiet and there was a supermarket close by on the adjacent street. The inn was nicely decorated with a rustic old charm feel and our room has a nice street view from the window. However, there were... More

My wife and I have stayed here many times on brief (3-7 day) stays in Washington, DC, for business and to visit friends. We vastly prefer this to same-same box hotels/motels. We always find a warm but unobtrusive welcome. Good clean un-elaborate rooms in pleasing traditional row house in unspoiled neighborhood. We enjoy communal breakfast with variety of people from...
