We were lucky enough to stumble across the Embassy Circle Guest House by chance. It is a newly refurbished ex Embassy of 8,500 sq ft which has been lovingly restored to the highest standard. It's in a tree lined road of Embassies of the finest architecture. It's quiet and safe and a 15 minute walk from the Whitehouse. It is... more

We knew we'd arrived "home" when Raymond and Ingrid came to meet us, and take in our luggage from the front door step. We were immediately escorted into the big, gorgeous kitchen where Raymond poured us each a glass of wine, and then fed us prosciutto and cheese. Laura soon joined us, and we felt like we were talking to... more

Exceptional for NW Washington location, unusually engaging, interesting live-in prorpietors Laura & Raymond and first assistant Ingrid, daily community breakfast table and early evening wine and cheese that encourages what for us were stimulating, informative conversations with Laura, Raymond and other guests, in a beautifully restored and decorated Georgian home 1/2 block off Embbassy Row. Short term convenience parking only;... more

I can't say enough good things about this place. One of the cleanest and most comfortable B & B's we have ever stayed in. Why would you want a hotel when you could stay here? The owners were very interesting and extremely helpful in showing us how to navigate the Metro. We stayed for 4 nights. Parked our car and... more

From the phone call to book the room to the goodbye after our stay was completed, we felt welcome at the Embassy Circle. It is a short walk to the dupont circle metro stop and is convenient to restaurants and shops. We loved that there was no TV. We were gone all day seeing the sights, so it really didn't... more

If you are looking for isolation, go to a hotel, because this is the warmest place in the history of the hospitality industry. Raymond and Laura and their staff will make you feel utterly at home - as part of a family you are grateful to be a member of. We met many repeat guests, and we wouldn't consider a... more

If you are visiting Washington, D.C., you must stay at the Embassy Circle Guest House. We have stayed in lovely small hotels and B&Bs around the world, but never one to equal the Embassy Circle! It is ideally located on a quiet, tree-lined street, surrounded by stately embassy buildings, and just a few blocks from the Dupont Circle metro station... more

Our second stay at the Embassy Circle and again a great experience. Raymond and Laura have a beautiful inn and they and make you feel right at home. Both times we have visited the other guests have come from very varied backgrounds / locations and getting together to chat over a complimentary glass of wine or two before heading out... more

This type of place is why no one should stay at a regular hotel when in DC for business or tourism. The rooms are clean and classy. The location is great as it is within a couple of blocks from Dupont Circle. The main difference between this B and B and other lodging options is the human element. The owners... more

We liked this hotel so much it is difficult to know where to start. Location: On a very quiet street in the middle of many ambassador residences. I don't care who you are, you would be proud to live on this block. About a 7 minute walk to the DuPont Circle Metro Station. Nice restaurants, stores, shopping, drug store very... more
