Every good thing you have read about Intown Uptown is true. The house is gorgeously restored to its gilded age splendor, spacious, comfortably and tastefully furnished. The hospitality is five-star, and the guests are international. The breakfast is better than almost any restaurant, and when you return in the evening, you can relax with a glass of wine or cookies... More

We stayed at the Intown Uptown for 5 nights, and were totally pleased with our choice. It is, as many mention, close to a bus stop, so unless you have to have a car, use public transit. It will save wear and tear on your mood, not to mention your wallet. Both Sandy and Maureen are delightful hosts. There was... More

Yes, it's all true - the lovingly restored home, the wonderful breakfasts with Miss Maureen's sinful breakfast goodies, the unbelievable ambiance ... The only note I can add is that they have a computer + printer available for their guests as well. But the best thing is that you are hosted by two of the nicest and most genuine people... More

We stayed at the Intown Uptown Inn for a three day stay in Washington DC and were very pleased with our decision. The house is really beautiful - it has been lovingly restored and the attention to detail is very evident. We stayed in the Corleone room, which we found very comfortable - it has a wonderful big bed and... More

We decided to take a road trip to Washington DC at the very last minute. Since I booked late, we had to change rooms from Wysteria to Sweet Charity (the last room left). Staying at a B&B, I was worried how our arrival was going to be handled as we estimated to get in around 2am. Sandy and I chatted... More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review! Would love to comment on your thoughts, which, by the way, are much appreciated! Unfortunately we wish we could have kept you in the same room but, as you mentioned, in the busy season it's better to book early -- that goes for anywhere in DC -- and we were thrilled... More

We booked a one night stay two weeks before we made the trip down for the Cherry Blossom Festival. It was our first time at a B&B and didn't know what to expect. Sandy and her staff went above and beyond our expectations. They were very helpful answering all of our questions. The room (Down to Earth) was large, comfortable,... More

My wife and I booked the Intown Uptown Inn for our late honeymoon. We've never stayed at a B&B before, but we had pretty high hopes. From the very first, the staff was friendly and helpful and bent over backwards to make sure that everything was exactly what we wanted and needed. Our stay was for a whole week, and... More

I loved staying for 2 nights at the Intown Uptown Inn-- outstanding staff, wonderful gourmet breakfasts and a charming and cozy room with a luxurious double-sized shower. I will definitely stay here next time I am in DC and highly recommend this B&B. The location is terrific--easy to find and near a metro line. Sandy, the owner, has a gift... More

This is THE place to be in DC!! Mauren, the Innkeeper makes you feel right at home with her warm hospitality and inviting smile. Yanira is there with a delicious breakfast and all the attention you could ask. This is an easy bus ride into the center of the city and is a welcome break from the hustle and bustle... More

OK. It seems to go completely without saying that this is a great place to stay based on universally positive reviews but I can't help wanting express our appreciation to Sandy and the staff for a great stay and to Myles for his ever friendly greetings. We spent most of the week there with family. The house struck a perfect... More
