Very nice hotel! Very clean and modern/new. This hotel is only about 2 months old. We stayed 4 nights. The room was very nice and spacious with a great view of the capitol and the Washington monument. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate your needs. Naomi at the front desk was very sweet... More

My family stayed for three nights and had a great time! We were on the 14th floor and had a great view of the Capitol Building. Travel was so easy from the Metro which was within short walking distance. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and always fully stocked. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. We are Hyatt Passport members... More

Couldn't decide on the 4* or 5* ranking. This hotel is new as of June 2014, so the new/clean factor helped bring the rating up. We stayed 4 nights and it was a great place for the end of our busy days in DC. The pool on the roof of the 2nd floor was nice, especially in the afternoon when... More

There are definite pros and cons to this hotel. Pros are that the hotel is within 2-3 blocks of the Metro, a grocery store, pharmacy, and plenty of quick-eat restaurants serving good food. It's also very secure, which is good, as it is surrounded by a mostly seedy area. Which takes me to the cons: Look out the window of... More

Stayed 8 days at Hyatt Place Washington DC, and believe me, you will come back. Excellent services, 2 blocks from the Metro Train, and believe me if you like to walk, you might even need it, probably only when you have been walking all day. 20 minutes walking to the Capital, 30 to the White House, 40 to the Washington... We stayed at the Hyatt a few weeks ago and the hotel is lovely. It is clean and new and the rooms are a good size. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. While I did not use the free breakfast, my husband and son did and LOVED it!!! The only negative (and I use this term lightly) is that... More

Great hotel, courteous staff, affordable, and very close to attractions. The area is up and coming, so there are some signs of its previous state, but overall it was a very pleasurable stay. They also offer a free breakfast buffet to guests which fueled us for a big day of sightseeing.. One thing though ... They told us to use... More

I stayed at the Hyatt Place at the end of July. I loved everything about this hotel. The front desk staff (Ashley, Loubna and Sara) were great and very professional. The General Manager Stacey Smith is wonderful, accommodating and very knowledgeable about places to go and explore in DC. When I arrived (booked my room through priceline.com) I found that... More

This hotel was only opened three weeks when checked it. It is located in a rapidly changing neighborhood called NOMA. The hotel is only 11/2 blocks from the metro red line. The room was great. We were on the 14th floor with a view of the Capital and the Washington Monument. The room had a king bed, a sectional sofa... More

We’d never been to a Hyatt Place concept before, but we definitely liked the cool and casual vibe. You can’t quite call it boutique, but it’s a step in that direction. Maybe it was still the honeymoon period, but all of the staff seemed well-trained and enthusiastic, with helpful smiles everywhere we looked. We didn’t end up utilizing the valet... More
