Could not have found a B&B in a better location. We were within 2 blocks of the 14th street corridor that had every type of restaurant you could want. Bus lines were steps away that took you into the heart of the National Mall. Talk about convenient, on our first day we walked down 16th street to the White House... More

Meridian Manor is 10 mins walk from a subway, and nearby has a convenience store and a great choice of restaurants. John is a friendly and helpful owner, who carried our luggage to our second floor room, hailed a taxi when needed, and gave us good advice re transport. Our room was spacious and quiet, although the TV (which we... More

I chose this B&B due to location and price (including the reasonable charges for car parking) The location is very good, being within walking distance of U St Subway station. It also is convenient for the many cafes and bars in the U Street area. The area feels fairly safe for walking in the evening, The building itself is historic... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on a sight seeing visit to DC. The location of this place is great with loads of restaurants on u street and also walking distance to DuPont circle. We walked to the white house which took about half an hour and then walked around the sights and museums. We didn't need to use the... More

With only 6 rooms, it may be difficult to book in this popular property. If stairs are an issue, you may want to book elsewhere; all rooms require stair climbs, the top floor rooms a hefty 52 steps. Two of the rooms have a shared bathroom, but also have the advantage of a large common area with views of the... More

We booked this B&B for its location (4 blocks from our daughter's apartment & 3 blocks to the 13th St. Metro stop) but were additionally super pleased to its proximity to fabulous restaurants, shops and lots of neighborhood ambiance. You can walk to museums and embassies and stroll through some very quaint neighborhoods. As a native Washingtonian, who left D.C.... More

I would definitely stay here again. John was a pleasure, and the room was just what we needed. The location was fantastic, and we could easily access the major tourist sites via metro or bus. And there were dozens of restaurants in walking distance. We arrived by train and Union Station, and flew out of Nation--the house was convenient to... More

From the moment your taxi pulls up in front, there is something not quite right with Meridian Manor B&B....garden beds full of weeds, the small front lawn overgrown and the sign...well, there isn't one. If it wasn't for the two Tripadvisor stickers on the front door, you would be scratching your head with doubts that you had the right address....... More

WOW....Im Realizing just how unappreciative one can be. Thank God These guests only makes up 5 percent of people out there. Most people do not act this way.....as I will explain.... They asked to do laundry on the first day they arrived at my house. We do not offer guests to do laundry, but I felt bad(they were all the... More

My husband, my 22 year old son and I recently stayed at the Meridian Manor Bed and Breakfast.
-Good location, we walked to Dupont Circle, White House and even to the Smithsonian (it took us about thirty min.)
-We booked the two rooms on the fourth floor with the shared bathroom. The best thing about reserving these rooms was the... More

I stayed there for two days, August 18th and 19th. Everything about it was great. The grey room was comfortable, continental breakfast was nice, it is near the White House, there are also many restaurants nearby. John, the host, was extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend Meridian Manor B&B.
