John & Yuri were great hosts & made us feel so welcome. We had internet access 24 hours a day, breakfast was fine & we could also make a drink in the kitchen & were given plenty of tips for our stay. However sadly we feel that they should look to the cleanliness of the house & give it some... more

This is one of the nicest bed and breakfast's we have ever stayed in. The room (The Chocolate Room on the second floor) was HUGE - queen bed with incredible bedding, large bureau, armoire, 2 pull out sleeper sofas which were very comfortable as sofas, a table and 2 chairs, night stand, TV with DVD player, etc. Couldn't have been... more

Stayed 3 nights with John and Yuri. Met a lot of interesting people and had dinner with half the B&B one night. John and Yuri made me feel very welcome and were extremely attentive. Fantastic location close to Adam´s Morgan. Bragi - Iceland more

Meridian Manor was a great place to rest my head and get some late-night work done while in DC to meet with members of Congress. The low-key atmosphere, large room and great location were exactly what I needed. Thanks, John, for being a gracious host! more

I stayed at Meridian for a whole week and had a wonderful time. First, it's in one of the most beautiful neighbourhoods in D.C. Walking home every night through Dupont Circle was a joy. Second, the house itself is gorgeous and comfortable. Third, John is very friendly and attentive - he really seems to like meeting guests. All in all,... more

At the time of our visit, this place had the balance just right: there are cheaper places where you sleep miles out of town in a dank dorm; there might be more luxurious ones too (I wouldn't know). With the Meridian, you pay a reasonable rate for DC standards (we paid about $100 per night for the double including parking),... more

This is a great place to stay, not only for the amazing house, but also the information that John can give is invaluable! We had the yellow room, on the top floor, really comfy and you could see Capitol Hill from the window. It had its own lounge on the landing, and the whole place is really stylishly decorated. Breakfast... more

We stayed for five nights on our first trip to DC. John was the perfect host, not just with his hospitality at MM which was generous and unstinting but his willingness to spend time chatting to us. MM is well situated for the White House and is only 3 blocks to the very efficient subway system. MM is a lovely... more

My husband, adult daughter and I were planning a trip to Washington. We were looking for a few things in particular in a B&B. We needed a room that slept 3 (which can be hard to find in a B&B) with a private bath, in a safe part of town near to Metro and the "Capitol" buildings. We were so... more

We stayed for 5 nights and were happy with the accommodations. John was waiting for us on our arrival. The Slate room was very comfortable and quiet. The continental style breakfast was very satisfying and we could serve ourselves. John provided decaf coffee at our request. We were able to use the computer. He even made wine available every second... more
