We were so lucky to find this place for a last-minute trip, when everything else was booked solid. The owners, John and Yuroslav, have renovated this brownstone beautifully, and it's far better than we expected for the price. Our shared bathroom on the third floor was cramped and could use some updating, but was perfectly fine. Our room was large,... More

U. Street turned out to be a very happening place and John, the very accomodating owner, was great about suggesting fun, trendy and delicious restaurants nearby (loved Tabaq!) The second floor suite was perfect for us - clean and cozy, with attached sitting room with door that provided both privacy and savings for a small family. And the AC worked... More

John was fabulous. We were going to be late so called and told him and he was charming and patiently waiting for us when we arrived. The house is wonderful, old, full of character and history. Our room was on the 3rd floor but windows that opened and AC for when it gets hot. The breakfasts were handy and great.... More

This B & B is so charming. You walk in and are instantly surrounded with the warmth and charm of an era gone by. The architecture of the building is beautiful with transom windows, stunning fireplaces and exquisite wood work. Very cozy and comforting. You have run of the house so you welcome to use all the common areas. There... More

We stayed four nights in a third floor guest room "Queen 2" which is on the back side of the house. We had booked "Queen 1", the bed without the footboard, online but that room was not available when we arrived. No biggie as that room was on the front of the house and probably had some street noise. All... More

We stayed here for a 5 night vacation. The home was wonderful and our hosts were gracious. It was clean and the beds comfortable. The location was superb and within walking distance of many conveniences. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

I stay at the U Street B&B ( or the Meridan Manor - same owners) whenever I come to DC. These guest houses are located in a cool neighorhood & give you the flexibility of U Street, Dupont Circle or Adams Morgan for dining and clubs. They are perfect for business travel - because they are just minutes by cab... More

This B&B is in a really cool old house - one of those houses in which all the doors were custom made 100 years ago - all different shapes, etc.! It's really homey - I loved staying there and just felt at home. The breakfast is simple, but you just feel like you can just go in and make your... More
