Overall, the experience at the hotel was horrendous. We would never recommend that anyone stay at this hotel. Not only was the staff reduced to a minimum so that it made it difficult for them to do their jobs, but they weren't even equipped to do them well. We did not get towels without asking for them and then it... More

This hotel needs a slight update makeover. It feels like something from the 80's. If you want a place to eat, you won't find much within walking distance. The positive part of this hotel is the friendly staff (Outstanding), very close to the Meto and George Washington University and Big rooms. It would be nice if they provided free internet.... More

I just got back from a week long business trip in DC. A colleague recommended this hotel because it was away from the down town, yet a short trip on Metro to where we were going to be working, and also it had kitchenettes. It was a very good choice. It's small (9 floors) and located a block and a... More

Doubletree Suites is a great hotel. The staff was really helpful and the room was really big and clean. I would recommend to someone who wants to stay in a big room with kitchen and other facilities. Joanna - Brazil

Not a bad hotel. They gave out fresh cookies whe you checked in. I thought the rooms were a bit cramped, but they were very clean. Nice lobby area, but no free or continental breakfast. You're not too far from the Washington Mall. Overall a nice stay.

I have been staying in the area since my son started GWU. We've had all good experiences but I would have to say that the value of the Doubletree Suites is superior. The location makes it work. The pool was a real perk as it was very hot the first day i arrived. It's a small pool but the water... More

My wife and I stayed here for a week at the end of July. We were travelling with our daughter so we wanted a suite. This was the only reasonably-priced suite we could find for our trip. It's location near the GWU-Foggy Bottom metro stop is excellent. It's also minutes from Watergate (CVS, Safeway, café, etc.) and a 7-11. The... More

This hotel is not far from the Metro (Foggy Bottom) and very near George Washington Univ. Medical Center. The staff were all polite and helpful. There is construction going on this summer, and the hotel's website does warn about it. So, if you don't mind a little construction, then you will be fine. The construction is needed to update the... We cooked inside, and walked to the subway station every day. It was fun experience. There were four people in per room, and we open the doors, and made the living room a common area for meetings and hang out.

I took a small troop of Girl Scouts to this hotel (just four girls and two adults). Our room had two queen beds and a queen sofa bed. The beds were very comfortable and the room was well appointed. We didn't hear any other guests at all when we were in our room. Towels were nice and thick and plentiful.... More
