I went to DC for a convention and had a few extra days to explore the city. I couldn’t have picked a better hotel. I took the metro yellow line to the Convention stop from Reagan for $1.35 and walked the 3 blocks to the hotel. A friend took a cab for $35. The price was high, but it was... more

I visited DC for a convention. This hotel is great for being so close ot the convention center, and to a grocery (SafeWay)! It's not too far from the subway (about 5 blocks--but could take 10 min to get there). Staff were friendly. Many items to choose from at breakfast like other Hamptons. Hotel rooms were clean. I have been... more

I booked this hotel through expedia.com in April for $129/night. I had a $25 coupon, which I used - so, the total was $125. Upon checking in, the hotel did not have our reservation from Expedia & to make matters worse, they were booked for the weekend. I am not sure who really was at fault here, but Expedia credited... more

Stayed here 5 nights. 2 days of sightseeing and 3 days attending a conference at the convention center. Location is very convenient to the convention center and a short walk to the Metro for getting around DC. I thought this was an above average Hampton Inn in terms of decor and room quality. Free breakfast was very good and included... more

We made a last minute decision to take an overnight trip to DC for our kids' first stay in a hotel and to visit the Smithsonian. AAA rate of $224 was a little more than we wanted to pay, but after driving past some of our other cheaper choices on the way into DC, it was well worth the money.... more

The hotel location is not very attractive nor well kept by the city. The building looks old and faded from the outside. The front of the building does not have a good recessed space to park and unload. The inside lobby looks nice, but due to the unattractiveness of the outside, and the unprofessional attitude of the staff, it ends... more

I attended a conference at the Conference Centre. The hotel is only 8 minutes easy walk from the Centre. 5 minutes' walk to Safeway for buying whatever I needed. 10 minutes walk to the China Town for good food. 25 minutes walk to the National Mall. Nice free breakfast. Nice free coffee. Nice room. Friendly staff. Great value for money.... more

Even this hotel is off the beaten path, it is only 2 blocks south of a Metro station and better yetr, only 1 block East of a Circulator bus which can take you to Georgetown for dinner or to the Mall to do the museums, etc. Cost is only $1.00 or 50 cents for seniors. Staff is great and breakfast... more

I stayed here for four nights in April 2009, and found the location great. We were able to walk to most places, and it's also very convenient for the Subway too. The hotel staff were friendly, and helpful. One of the real plus points, was the complementary breakfast with a great choice of food. Coffee was available the whole day... more
