This hotel is amazing from the moment I arrived the satff had me feeling like family and not just a guest, it was if I was the only person staying there. They could not have done anything more to complete my stay. The best shower that I have ever had in any hotel in the last 20 years.

We booked this hotel especially for it's ambiance and architectural appeal for a photo shoot. The lobby and other areas of the Mandarin were beautifully decorated. We had a great Bloody Mary at the lobby bar. The room as awesome with a spacious bathroom. There is also an indoor pool, which is quite nice in December if you want to... More

We were fortunate and unfortunate enough to to travel to DC for a function just before the January 2016 blizzard. Unfortunately, our return flight was cancelled and we were unable to get out of the city. Fortunately...we were at the Mandarin Oriental! While not the most inexpensive place to be for an unplanned "forced vacation", we were very comfortable/ All... More

I normally don't take the time to write reviews on anything normally but my stay at Mandarin Oriental truly exceeded my expectations. I already knew I made the right choice when I booked my reservation with young lady, Alex. Every question I asked she had an answer to. She took the time to really get to know me as a... More

Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a very nice gentleman who unloaded my luggage and took me to the front desk. The front desk reception was so peaceful offering me a cup of tea, talking softly, walked around the desk to give me my room key in private and with that special touch of "we welcome you here". When... More

My stay at the D.C. Mandarin Oriental surpassed all expectations which, as a frequent executive traveler, tend to be quite high. My room was impeccably clean, my bed firm yet luxuriously soft and turndown service subtle and relaxing - perfect end to my evenings. The food at Muze (the on-site restaurant) was consistently good and surprisingly innovative - I had... More

While the location could not be beat for visiting the sites (loved taking a morning run past the monuments and reflecting pool!), there was not much life in the area- this was a drawback personally as I have visited DC many times previously and so would have been better served by nearby restaurants, bars and nightlife than the monuments, However,... Stayed in this hotel with family over the weekend of storm Jonas. The staff were incredibly accommodating allowing us to check in early (before the storm started). We had large adjoining rooms with extremely comfortable beds. The bathrooms were clean and large. The staff were simply fantastic - many of them were unable to get home themselves because of the... great place to stay quiet and calm in a chaotic city. arrived early and they did everything in the power to get me in a room within minutes. Even with training a front desk clerk it was a pleasant and engaging experience. I would recommend the hotel.

The hotel is very close to the National Mall so all the Museums are on a walking distance. The service is very good, the concierge helped us on our tours and dinner reservations. In few words, this hotel reflects what a Mandarin Oriental Hotel should be.
