This is my 5th stay at the Mandarin Oriental in DC. Their hospitality and service is exceptional. Standard room is spacious, comfortable, with excellent amenities. Meeting rooms and food are excellent. Although my stays have focused on business, I see families, couples, and international guests here as well, and everyone seems very satisfied.

Our room was spacious, very comfy and bathroom was super...had a shower and deep tub. Lobby bar is pretty and drinks were really high quality. They were short on servers both nights so we had a little trouble...but once we got her attention, we were treated very well. They do a great job with service.

This is my second stay at the Mandarin. It is not as 'zen' like as some of the other Mandarin's I've stayed at, however, it's a fantastic home-base (especially in the hot summer). One of the best features of this hotel is the central lobby area. It is a great place to hang out - inside, or out. We dined... More

The hotel lobby is beautiful. Our check in experience was great, the room was very nice but there is a train which runs by the hotel and we heard it throughout the night. We had a drink and an appetizer in the lobby bar on two different nights and the service was ok at best both times. The location is... More

This was my first experience staying at a Mandarin Oriental and I can say I will be back. Service: The first thing that I noticed with my stay was the high level of service. Every single person I encountered on my visit, from the front desk, servers (Muse, Cityzen), the spa, valet, and even the guy who brought the fruit... More

Really close to Reagan national even in bad traffic. Hotel well kept, clean, and great service. Quite part of town next to the mall and waterfront. CVS pharmacy and Starbucks really close but limited dining options within easy walking distance.

Dear Vioarr, Thank you for the kind words. Indeed, we are ideally located for easy access to DCA/Reagan National or the Smithsonian Museums and national monuments. Moreover, we have three great dining venues located in our hotel: our approachable all day dining restaurant, Muze, our lobby bar with a fantastic tapas menu, Empress Lounge, and our five diamond signature restaurant,... I stayed here for two nights recently. The staff are just perfect. All little touches, from greeting you by name, to handing you items with two hands, two nightly shoe shines, were all expected, and very welcome. The hotel is in SW DC, away from the tourists. Room service was delicious and delivered early. The lobby is beautiful. I was... More

Dear motowninchapelhill, Thank you for such wonderful feedback. Indeed, our location is ideal. We are a less than 10 minute drive from DCA/Reagan National. Moreover, a 10 minute walk from our front door will bring you upon the Smithsonian Castle. Through our garden, a private footbridge leads to the Tidal Basin. Additionally, we also offer complimentary bottled water during our... More

Great hotel worthy of 5 stars a little away from the hectic pace of the downtown but still very convenient. Take a taxi to get around and all is well. If you want the metro L'Enfant Plaza is a three plus block walk. Inviting lobby bar, excellent room service breakfast, and hotel breakfast. The staff is attentive and ever present.... More
