Stayed for two nights on a business trip - on the meeting convener's dime. Truly lovely hotel, spacious room, extensive workout area that included private women and men's whirlpool and steam rooms. Staff members were helpful and good natured - the turn down service warmed the room each evening in ways I'd not experienced before. This was the most resort-like... more

I took my husband there for HIGH TEA on his 81st birthday thinking that this would be a first class operation. Were WE ever disappointed. First, the Empress Lounge is right off the reception area -- attached to the bar. The woman greeting us had a haughty attitude like she was doing us a favor just to seat us. She... more

I recently stayed here 5 nights for a business conference with my husband. The room was quite good, althought the bed was in the wrong position to watch TV (had to watch in a 90 degrees hook). Breakfast buffet was very good. We took the Taipan club and paid 100 dollars a night extra for this club. For this amount... more

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! Our room had 2 double beds, a desk, and a sitting area among the standard items. The hotel room was roomy enough that you could lie your suitcase on the ground and still have room to walk around. The beds were cozy but a little on the small side (what more can you say about... more

Had a wonderful 5 days in at the Mandarin Oriental in D.C. with my parents. The rooms are wonderful and the restaurants are great. It is a quiet location, but if you like to walk, most things are within walking distance. The hotel is located only two blocks off the Mall and to the closed Metro Station. You can walsk... more

So after reading the reviews, I had a bit of concern about the location of the MO. Upon arrival I was offered a room on the 7th floor. I found the room quiet, well appointed, and I had a great view of the Jefferson Memorial. The location is not Georgetown and the hotel is away from nightlife and the restaurants... more

The mixed reviews of this property are interesting. I've stayed here several times on business, and each time I've been pleased. The hotel is an upscale property. The rooms and baths are large, with free internet, a nice fitness center, and decent food. The immediate surroundings are not very interesting, but just walk out the back and over a footbridge,... more

The Mandarin Oriental in Washington, D.C. is a great place to host an event. The hotel offers spectacular views and the property is excellently maintained. Our every need and request was managed expertly and I appreciated the fact that Reagan National Airport is only a 10 minute drive even during rush hour. However, while the property is excellent and has... more

Location to the airport is great. Welcoming lobby and common areas are well maintained. Our room is literally above train tracks which they've tried to mitigate the sound factor with double pane windows - alas, it has failed so you wake to the sound of the trains. Tonight is our final and third night as we're here for a conference.... more
