I had some business in Washington DC, and planned three additional days of sightseeing. Got however quite sick on the 2nd day. Yoshi was fantastically nice and helpful during this time, and I drank several gallons of her tea as well. Her place is overall wonderful, I had a ground-floor room, which is useful if you have big and heavy... More

Great for the money, rooms had nice beds and were spacious. Bathroom in our room (I think it was 11,) was really disappointing. Towels covered in lipstick, old bar of soap in the tub, plumbing situation generally in need of deep cleaning and perhaps new fixtures. Room was very hot when we arrived, we were told not to open the... More

From the home cooked breakfast (real surprize these days), the eclectic taste in books and the interiors, the generous 'no hurry' and highly beneficial / informative / fun chats with the owner/staff to the cleanliness in every area, this B&B has surpassed all expectations. A delightful stay.

Yoshie could not be more hospitable or accommodating. The beautiful rooms, perfect breakfasts, knowledgeable & inspiring host made the intro of my former home city to my husband a fabulous lifetime memory. I can't offer enough accolades! Our last minute reservation was due to the Courtyard in DuPont Circle performing construction throughout the hotel including in the room next door.... More

This B & B is in a great location and it is a lovely place. I have stayed here twice and been thrilled with it both times. The owner is wonderful and she serves a nice breakfast every morning. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!!

This is a nice enough guesthouse, with a great location for going to restaurants and bars or getting the metro from Dupont Circle. The room we stayed in was clean, spacious and comfortable. However, I don't understand what all the fuzz is about on Tripadvisor. This was far from the best hotel I ever stayed in - not that it... More

What a pleasure to return to this oasis in the City of DC. This time we stayed in Room #16, which featured a very comfortable bed, beautifully appointed furniture, a quiet night's sleep, and the sweet and unexpected sight of an angel's face hand-painted on the ceiling, floating in a drift of clouds. The inn's host is wonderfully attentive and... More

We lucked out in finding Taft Bridge Inn in upper Dupont Circle. It is a good walk from the metro but well worth the leg stretch. We enjoyed a lovely room and en suite and the communal breakfast was a highlight - the opportunity to talk and mingle with other travellers in a homely environment. We won't hesitate to stay... The Inn is in a nice, quiet neighborhood with upscale residences and embassies nearby, but it's a good 15-minute walk from the nearest Metro station at Dupont Circle. My room turned out to be very small, with no sink and a shared bath. I had to wait 20+ minutes for the bathroom sometimes. One morning there was no hot water... More

Thank you for your review and for your insight regarding your accommodations. We sincerely apologize for the lack of hot water, as you may or may not have heard, on the morning of Thursday, April 9th our 75 lb. water heating unexpectedly broke. The room we booked had a fireplace in the picture so we wrongly assumed that it worked. When we got there we asked if we could build a fire and were told it is not a working fireplace (it was around 40º that night). We asked if we could have a fire when we returned from dinner around 9pm, in... More

Thank you for your review. We value your opinion and are always striving for excellent service.
