After a family wedding in NY, our son took us for my first visit to Washinton DC. Taft Bridge Inn was a treat..an excellent home in an upscale neighborhood, beautifully furnished, convenient to restaurants and transportation, and the innkeeper and owner went way beyond the norm to see that we were comfortable even taking us in her own car twice... My fiance and I recently stayed here while visiting family in DC. Great location close to both the Dupont Circle and Woodley-Park metro stops. The staff is friendly and helpful, and breakfast was timely and delicious. My fiance and I traveled lightly for our short stay in the area, so I skipped bringing my standard toiletries of soap, shampoo and... More

I stayed here 2 nights recently and loved it. I am on a tight budget and the rooms with shared bath offer great value for a city with often pricey lodging. Breakfast is made to order and you eat around a large table family-style. It was an engaging, eclectic crowd. The Phillips Collection museum and DuPont Metro station are just... More

I recently spent a couple of nights here, and was worried that it might have been a little 'chintzy', given the pictures on the website, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a quaint old building with a nice sense of style (the building itself is from the early 1900s). Firstly, this is an inn, not a hotel, so don't... More

I travel on business to DC on a fairly regular basis and have stayed in numerous B&B’s in DC over the years, The Taft Bridge Inn has become my go-to place. If this is any indication many of their clientele are like me and come back over and over again. The staff and owner are great. Being I have stayed... More

Taft was a lovely surprise. We were expecting something on the budget end of hotels in DC yet the Taft was fantastic. The website doesn't do the rooms justice. Really stylish boutique decor at an affordable price. We found it a walkable distance from downtown and near funky Adams Morgan. The rooms were quiet and beds comfy. We opted for... More

We stayed in Room 20 for 2 nights on the 19th & 20th October. A very quiet spacious room at the top of the house. Great eccentric but taseful decor through out the house and a fantastic breakfast. An easy walk from the metro and about 30 minutes walk into Georgetown which is lovely. Worth getting the map out and... More

I felt right at home at this Inn. Great location and very safe. Walk to great restraunts and bars. Easy to metro and cabs. I broke my arm on a segway tour the first day everyone at the inn was very helpful and i was made very comfortable. Will come back as soon as i can. More

The Taft Bridge Inn is certainly one of the best place to stay in DC. The house is beautiful and elegant and the friendliness of the staff makes you feel at home. The rooms are elegant and very clean. There is a touch of elegance about everything in this bed and breakfast, from fresh flowers in the room to the... More
