Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Upon arrival, I dragged my luggage up the staircase to a hotel receptionist who was on the phone arguing (apparently) with his lover. After I stood there for a good 3-5 min., he rudely looked up from his phone call and said, "I need your ID!" He stayed on the phone the... More

So, it is a low budget hotel. The rooms are not so clean, and the breakfast room smells beer (it is a bar at night I guess). But the location is very good! Close to the metro station (Dupont Circle), and if you like to walk, you can go to many tourist attractions in a nice walk. I think it... More

My family and I spent a night at this Hotel. It is an old hotel, neat and clean. There is however room for improvement. A new lift needs to be installed immediately. The door and gate on the lift is a hazard. The personnel manning the front desk needs to be trained to deal with guests.

I was a little nervous booking this hotel. The reviews were fine but there was a days inn at the same price but I thought... Lets go for something different. The hotel is in a great part of town, only a 5 minute walk from Dupoint Circle metro. Its in a safe part of town. Very friendly staff at the... More

Horrible place! They triple-charged my card (said that the room is $131 with tax, then charged me $340!), have no parking, the place is full of drunk college people. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT stay there! Ended up finding a place outside of DC that is cheaper, more quiet and is still next to the metro line.

What a nightmare!! My fiancé and I very recently got engaged. We decided to take some time to stop in DC and explore some monuments and museums before spending the holidays in NJ. We chose the Baron Hotel because it seemed like a place that was right up our alley. On our second night, we were cuddling in bed together,... More

I was travelling with my husband and 2 year old daughter and there were features we liked and others we disliked. Some of the front staff was really helpful and friendly and others less so. A really good location and very easy to walk to Georgetown and even downtown though we used the Metro and buses for travel a lot... More

Really friendly front staff. Great bar. Everything works. Location good for everything you need, handy to transit, cool part of town. Cable TV. Really good Wi-Fi. Simple and safe bathroom. Convenience stores, and a wide variety of places to eat nearby.

My husband and I needed a room for an overnight stay in DC. We were attracted first by the modest price, but it was the attached Bier Baron pub that really sealed the deal. Our room was smaller with a very European feel. It was clean and comfortable, the workers we met were kind, and the service was prompt. The... More

I met my brother there for a work/vacation. We had a limit to spend and chose the Baron. We were both happy with our selection. It is an old building, which was part of the charm. Reminded me of travelling when I was in my 20's. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The room was large as... More
