How can an amazing bar such as the Beir Baron Tavern be in such an awful hotel...The staff (Bartenders, cooks, servers and even the guy checking IDs) are the only reason for getting any stars... The staff down there was over the top with their service, delicious food and awesome beers! I will definitely make it a point to return... More

We booked this hotel based on its location and price. It's situated just off dupont circle, a 5 minute walk from the nearest metro station and approx. a 30 minute walk from Washington mall and the surrounding monuments/museums. We stayed for 4 nights and were very pleased with the cleanliness, size and comfort of our room. The bed was comfortable... More

This is the worst service ever. I need to take a bath and the water is cold. Talked to reception desk he just said many people are probably taking the bath so the water is cold. What?!!! It is 12:30 at night!!! How can many guests be in the bath right now?!!!! He did not do anything to fix the... More

This hotel long long ago would have been pleasant, but lack of attention to modernizing has made it dwindle. Their central heating and cooling system was defunct. All public areas were very cold. The individual rooms had large window units for ac/heat but mine did not work properly. It went off and on constantly and the air coming out was... More

My husband and I spent two nights here last month while in town for a concert. Our biggest concern on trips like this....VALUE. We spent $90 per night (including taxes and fees) which, for the Dupont Circle location, is an EXCELLENT price. We had no problem finding it and were pleased with the location. We didn't expect much but that... More

I stayed at the Baron for 3 nights and got a rate of $108 per night which was much cheaper than any others I could find, it's accesible by public transport with a short walk to the metro, the hotel was also walkable to Georgetown. It's an older hotel so is basic in facilities and the style is outdated but... More

We stayed there between Christmas and New year's eve and it was very good value for money at that time. Maybe the hotel is not new but it is spotless clean and people working there are nice. Moreover they give good breakfast-there is plenty of food so even big eaters are going to be happy. They also allowed us to... More

This is a very old hotel and I suppose they haven't done any renovation for a long while. I had a lots of luggage that date and there is a long stair to the hotel door, which was very bad and no one helped me. They have a very old elevator with the fence door that you need to close... More

Photos of the rooms on their website are the complete opposite of what you end up in reality. Upon my arrival, I discovered at the front desk that the third floor experienced a pipe burst, leading all rooms on that floor to be unavailable to guests whose rooms were booked and paid for in full. As my assigned booking was... More

This was the perfect efficient budget hotel for me, but it isn't for everyone and in the same price range there are nicer looking hotels. How do you know this hotel is or is not for you? Looks! Do they matter to you? Although this hotel is spotlessly clean, it is seriously in need of a refurbishment, attention to detail,... More
