Not very expensive, silent and close to metro. Located in a great place of the city, nice for walking. I don´t recommend the breakfast - you have to pay separately and is not so good. You have better options (excellent!) very close to the hotel, on the corner (leaving hotel and walking left) or turning on the left, in this... More

A pefectly acceptable hotel at a reasonable price in the heart of Washington DC is not easy to find, but the Baron falls into that category. It's not, and doesn't pretend to be highly specified and equipped, it's not a five star hotel, but my room, though small and simple was comfortable, clean and quiet- which is all I wanted.... More

It is not a 5 star hotel, but the Baron pretty much was all my friend and I needed when staying in DC. It is pretty close to the Dupont Circle metro station (like an 8 minute walk), there are lots of shops nearby, and despite there is a bar in the first floor of the building, we didn't hear... More

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel close to Metro and restaurants. I booked the hotel and was concerned with some of the negative reviews. The location was great - within a few blocks of Dupont Metro and choice of every type of eatery. Staff was friendly, helpful and greeted us with kindness. I requested a ''quiet room' after reading... Dirty room, chipped paint, a very old manual elevator that you had to operate your self. Scary atmosphere and not a comfortable place, I have staid in low budget Hotels before but this was terrible. Do not stay here.

The good thing about this hotel is that it is VERY close to a metro station and if all you need is a place to sleep, it's on point. If you're looking for a hotel that has a lot of amenities, this isn't it. It does have a bar, but we didn't go there. The elevator is OLD and slow... More

Room: Very outdated and dull. Chipped paint. Very minimal. Not a lot of clothes storage space - no dresser, just a coat hanger closet. The bathroom was decent. The beds were clean but smelled of bleach. Beds were very uncomfortable but manageable. The room had no safe which I did not like. Hotel: Cool old hotel with a fun old... More

How can an amazing bar such as the Beir Baron Tavern be in such an awful hotel...The staff (Bartenders, cooks, servers and even the guy checking IDs) are the only reason for getting any stars... The staff down there was over the top with their service, delicious food and awesome beers! I will definitely make it a point to return... More
