A very pleasant European feeling hotel in a great location. The drawback is that it seems amateurishly set up and run. Check in desk practically hides the very nice young lady behind it, the service staff is not terribly fluent in english and have their children running around while they are working. Breakfast is a total waste of time- stale... More

This is a simple hotel in a great location. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is an older building but they bathroom was like new. The window heater was acceptable. Most of my stay was during cold weather and I was quite comfortable. Did not like the elevator because I had to used my entire body to close... More

Stayed overnight on a visit to the National Mall for my daughter's birthday. Very close to transportation. About 3 blocks away from the Metro (red line). Many restaurants in the attractive neighborhood. Attached to a pub/restaurant - didn't visit because I was with my 15 yo. Friendly staff. At first they gave me a room with just one double bed... I wanted to stay in Washington, DC, the night before an early morning conference in Bethesda. I readily made the reservation online. There are many steps to climb from the street to enter the building. Inside the building there are several steps to climb to reach the lobby. I readily checked in at the desk. I was disappointed to be... More

For us the best about this hotel is that it was affordable and clean. Not new but it wasn't completely in bad shape. The bathroom was great. The beds weren't the best, but alright. What really bothered us was the heater. It looks like there is no central heating and the heater wasn't very efficient. Well located, within short walk... More

Stayed here in March 2013 and everything was great. The location can't be beat, the room was clean and quiet, and the service was good. Hotel is attached to a great pub as well. A lot of fun and perfect place for the price. Would definitely stay again.

The Baron is a small hotel in Dupont Circle, nearby Connecticut Avenue, the street of international embassies in Washington D.C. It's pretty near the Dupont Circle metro station. The rooms are small but comfortable, with all facilities. Unfortunately our room had the window with an air hole and during the night I had my head frozen. The fan into the... More

If you are in town for a day or 2, go here. Make sure you know the area, there is no parking and you need to find a spot on the street. Stay in a room on the 1st or 2nd level max, hot water heater in the basement and in the winter it takes time to get hot water... More

The hotel has access to public transport, Dupont Circle subway is within walking distance of 10 minutes. It has small but clean rooms and provides breakfast facility. Resonably priced. Due to the Bar on the premises, the loud music blaring can be heard in the rooms till late night and is therefore very disturbing. I was there over a weekend... More
