Well my family trip to Washington was nice, the hotel very near to the downtown area, comfort and nice place to stay. Self service breakfast was good, just what we needed. We had no issues at all, it is a great place to stay and on my next trip to DC I will surely be there again or recommend it

its pretty old but clean and a excellent location.our bathroom was nice and clean and pretty big. The downsides were that the aircon was very loud so you couldn't really have it on over night, the bed moved every time you sat on it as it was on wheels and there was no butter with the continental breakfast for the... I thought that this was a nice hotel in a good location. Close to Dupont circle and the Metro. They have a breakfast for $5 which is about what it is worth. If you want ice, you have to go to the bar. In the morning, the desk guy will give it to you. The staff was nice. The room... More

My room was cleaned everyday and get free bath and body works toiletries. the location is very convinient esp restaurants are just around the corner. There is a lil coffee shop around the corner, (soho) which serves the best Coffee and breakfast. I did not even have to go to starbucks which is a a two mons walk from there.... More

Its biggest negative -- the steps leading up to the hotel (no ramp, no porter assistance) -- so if you are an older person, or physically unable to lift your suitcase up the steps, you should stay somewhere else. I had injured my arm, and the person on desk duty was unable to leave her position to help out. Fortunately,... More

When we entered this place, it immediately felt to me like a place which had substance: red bricks and some old-style charm - so different from the "good but could be anywhere" style, which I frankly hate. The steep stairs and tiny corridors which let to our room were awesome. The room, which overlooked the street and the church opposite,... More

Nice antique hotel with a small park right across the street. There are restaurants and a grocery nearby and the Dupont Circle is just a 10-minute slow walk away. The hotel does not have a concierge so we had to carry our own bags up the stairs to get to the receptionist. Buffet breakfast was standard American fare: muffins, cereals,... More

On arrival we were given the wrong room, but luckily they did have the right room available to switch us to. The room was clean and serviceable, with a relatively new bathroom. We were told at check-in that the breakfast was $5 per person and opt-out - when we looked at it the next morning we quickly opted out: just... More

This is an older hotel. If you are accustomed to smaller, European-style rooms, etc, you will understand the challenges for older hotels. We actually changed rooms twice. While we are accustomed to pensions and hostels, our first room was so small that we went back to the desk and asked for another. They were very accommodating. We got stuck in... More

Supposedly there were busted pipes. We were given another room - smaller or they offered to book us at another one of their hotels. I had to ask for a discount which should have been offered. The room was tiny but clean. Very simple and inelegant furnishings. No network TV. It seemed like no matter what time of day, there... More
