Ritz-Carlton, Washington DC is, of course, one if the best selections that you can make when in the city. The location is very safe and extremely quiet at night. I have stayed here several times and have enjoyed it each time all the same. In the near future, a new restaurant is opening at the property. Housekeeping was very attentive.... More

I'm not sure about the others with the negative reviews. Quick background....my company puts me up at the Ritz, Fourseasons, Mandarin Oriental or similar..... The location is good and bad....GOOD> It is close to the Metro (subway) that drops you off right at the Smithsonian and yet close to Georgetown for shopping and dining. DC has zone cab fares....save a... More

I have stayed at this property a few times over the last couple of years and can say in all honesty, that 2 years ago, it was spectacular. 6 months ago, it was mediocre. The site is showing signs of aging. The front desk was a site under construction. The hotel was clearly overwhelmed both at the front desk and... More

I stayed at this hotel Feb 25-27th for business. On Feb 26th the fire alarm proceeds to go off around 5PM. A loud overhead speaker announces that we all must leave the building. People are quickly shuffled out of the building without jackets or any alternatives for warmth. (This also was the same weekend that Washington, DC received 8 inches... More

I booked this hotel through hotel sales office directly since I stayed here for 3 weeks. They gave me $399.00 a night during their busiest season of the year when the rate for the exact same room could go up to $500-725.00 per night depends on the occupancy level, and it included the accomodation (corner room) on the executive floor... I stayed at this location in early February 2007. At less than 250.00 (USD) a night, it was a great deal and it’s a very nice, friendly hotel. The Good. The staff is very friendly, they all go out of their way to greet you by name when ever possible. The hotel has a very classic look and the rooms... More

This is a beautiful hotel with unparalleled service. For the price, there is not a better deal in DC. The rooms are luxuriously comfortable and the staff is formally friendly. It is simply a taste of the good life.

Stayed here in early Dec for a company funtion. Showed up at 2:30PM but room was not available until 6:30PM. Since dinner started at 6PM, I was in a pickle. Then, when I got to my room, it reeked of smoke. The staff had put an air cleaner in the room but it was no help. Calls to the front... More

My husband and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Washington DC for 4 nights in June 2006. We liked the lobby area, which was upscale and elegant. We didn't find many restaurants near the hotel but there were plenty in Georgetown, which is about 25 minutes walk away. Most of the staff were curteous and we were fairly pleased with the... More
