From the moment we walked inside and were greeted with a glass of champagne and hot towels...loved every minute of our long weekend. Ritz staff are the best there is. Attentive and caring, and genuine...nothing feels forced. Great location, walk to White house. Food in the lobby bar is excellent. Room service was prompt and also excellent. A really nice... More

We stayed there for 3 days to attend the conference in DC. The room is decent, and clean. Service is 5 star. We tried food at restaurant downstairs, it was surprisingly good. The bell man, door man, as well as the parking people are very helpful since we have a baby with us. It was raining when we are there,... More

Front desk staff, fab. Room, fab. (Best rain shower ever. It Had the water pressure required to make this type shower head a joy.) Robes, THE most comfortable/soft/cush of ALL hotels anywhere we've stayed in the world. The Lobby Lounge was the best food we ate in Washington (crab dip, bbq sliders, fries, calamari). Better than the food at a... More

Thank you for your recent stay and for your candid comments. I am so glad that you enjoyed the front desk staff, the service of the hotel, the comfortable beds and robes and the rainshower - however I am so sorry that construction from the building accross the street disturbed your sleep. We are in a neighborhood zoned under a... More

The Ritz has amazing service and they gave many great recommendations like the spy museum, old ebbitt grill, and the newseum. It was also in a great location, it's close to the Washington monument, the white house, the Lincoln memorial,e.c.t.

When it's called the Ritz, I expect a bit more. There was nothing terrible about this hotel -- it's just that there was no "wow" factor whatsoever. Rooms were smallish, furniture/décor felt overly generic. It seemed more like a Westin than a Ritz. Don't get me wrong -- the Westin is a fine hotel. It's just that when you carry... More

Good health centre but more as a public facility housed in the hotel rather than being part of the hotel. On the whole a rather sterile ambience. There is no sense of presence or relationship to the city. Not the best part of town. Service could be better. Not as good as others in the brand. Restaurant service good. My... More

We stayed for 3 nights in a pretty standard room for a Ritz Carlton, very comfortable and all the amenities you really need. We were very impressed with the level of service at this Ritz, everyone is so friendly and helpful, from the valet, bellhop, maids, concierge, etc. I really should have remembered some names so sorry that we cannot... Thank you for your recent stay and for your kind remarks about our service. I am delighted to know that my team took such great care of your daughter - and I will pass on your accolades. When you need to say that a hotel's best feature is it's partnership with a fitness center next door it's not good. The rugs and rooms need renovating, service is not at Ritz level, not even at Marriott level frankly and I would not stay here again.

I don't know how they do it, so consistently at The Ritz, but the staff are just charming, Not in a gooey way, just plain, easy going, member of the family stuff. I suppose the staff training and attention to detail is what we pay for.

Visited this RC for a conference recently, stayed just two hours. Parking fee? $32, in the west end no less. Do they know that you can park ALL DAY Downtown for a little more than half that? Even the Kennedy Center, the biggest parking gouger in Washington (don't forget, the taxpayers own the building) is less than that. Did it... More

Thank you for your comments about our Parking Charge. Unfortunately The Ritzz-Carlton does not run the large parking structure that provides parking for the hote - the Residences - The carriage house - 3 Restaurants - Sports club LA and the day parkers of the Westend - Hence we don't establish the prices - However After reading your comments I...
