My traveling companion found an excellent deal for this room. Originally $300, he booked for a mere $120! I would say it's worth more the latter price than the former. The atmosphere is posh, the decor is clearly carefully chosen, and the artwork was aesthetically pleasing in the room. That said, there was atrocious construction outside the main entrance, so... Check in: Excellent. The staff was wonderful and let us into our rooms early. Room Condition: Fair to good. Bathroom was old and very, very small. Bed was excellent. Television did not have "many" typical cable channels. Coffee pot for room: fine but lacked enough extras like sugar. The room was a bit small overall. Location of Hotel: Very good... More

I stayed here for a conference. I would say right away there are several issues with this hotel. First if you are tourist, this is not the place to stay. This place isright in front of a hospital and in the middle of a campus. Nothing is easy to get to. Second, this is one of the old hotels that... More

I stayed here for a conference and have to say the room was very nice and comfortable. The beds were heavenly! Everything seemed very clean and modern and attractive. My only complaint was no fridge in the room. The service was great, though. They were good about checking me in quickly and calling me a taxi the morning I left.... More

We booked through the hotel website and got a great rate for this very nice hotel. I think the reason we got such a great rate was because it was for a Sunday night in the summer and the hotel seemed very quiet. Not a problem for us though! We watched the women's soccer game from our window on the... More

I stayed here on a Saturday night in July. It was very hot and the hotel was a good oasis. Being unfamiliar with the university, it was difficult to find. I called for directions and was told "It's in the university, there are no cross streets". Know where you're going, it's right next to the hospital. The hotel is convenient... More

I could hear everything said and going on in the hall outside my room, and I could hear the person next door talking on the phone and watching TV. My room was set up for one person--no closet, but a cabinet with hardly roomto hang a couple of days' clothing for one person (room safe and ironing board were in... More

Wednesday- Saturday stay to bring student home from DC program, have one day to relax, and visit GU.. We traveled without a car, did not do any sight seeing in DC. I was a bit concerned after reading some reviews, but I had none of the problems discussed in reviews. Air conditioning was great and it was very hot during... More
