I stayed at the St. Gregory in June 2009 and was very pleased with the hotel. The room was absolutely spotless and did not have the Legionnaires' air-conditioning smell that is present in many of the hotel rooms. When we walked into the our room, classical music was playing on the room radio and there were fresh flowers in the... more

While in a good location, reasonably clean, with responsive housekeeping staff and a pleasant front desk, make sure you never have to resolve any administrative problems with this hotel. A question about billing that required a very simple response and absolutely no cost to the hotel resulted in five phone calls and a giant run-around. I finally had my bank... more

I only stayed here for one night, checked in very late, and they gave me an impressive suite (don't know if all the rooms are like this) with full kitchen, living area, dining area, hallway, large bathroom, and decent sized bedroom. The suite had regal decor, which isn't my favorite, but was very very clean, spacious, great floorplan. This hotel... more

Went to D.C. for a wedding but needed a nice room with space so that our 3 year old and 17 year old would be relatively close, comfortable and be able to have some fun as well, i.e. order room service, watch movies, etc. Booked a Junior Suite for $119 and it was huge. Great in-room kitchen facities, dining table... more

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights over Memorial Weekend(May). The room was large and well maintained, the bathroom clean and well supplied with towels. The staff friendly and helpful, although they must invest in a 3 point plug adaptor, for those UK visitor who forget theirs! We enjoyed our stay, did not find the hotel noisy although previous... more

The good: Clean rooms and a convenient location. The bad: Front desk staff could not guarantee an available room by the check-in time upon our arrival in the afternoon. It took asking to speak with the manager to actually get a room at check-in time. The rooms have thin walls, and we could hear just about everything going on in... more

My husband and I spent a few days in DC before traveling to Blacksburg, Virginia for a family wedding. We arrived on a Tuesday evening around 9pm after a long trip from California and we were not welcomed with a door man opening our door. Steve who checked us in was very friendly and I requested our room to be... more

Location is good and staff are professional and friendly. Rooms feel dated (especially bathrooms) and need updating. Soundproofing is poor and noise from adjoining rooms can be intrusive. more

My boyfriend and I stayed here the first week of April during the Cherry Blossom Festival. The hotel was wonderful. We got a free upgrade to a suite and it was one of the nicest rooms I've stayed in. The room was spotless and very private. We never heard a sound except emergency vehicles driving by outside. The only complaint... more

The St Gregory is a very pleasant luxury hotel within walking distance of Dupont Circle, with all its shops and restaurants, and about 15 minutes' walk from the White House. There are two or three little eateries just down the street or round the corner too, such as Au Bon Pain and the Port of Piraeus, which serve breakfast and... more
