My wife and I had an overnight stay at this hotel and found just about everything to our liking. Our experience at just about any Marriott at which we've stayed has been excellent. Kudos to Marriott for creating a culture of service excellence throughout their many properties. This particular property is located in close proximity to the Smithsonian National Portrait... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a business/leisure trip. Front desk staff very friendly and professional. We were assigned an "access room" which was spacious but quite bare. As we were visiting for 5 days, I requested a different room with some living space and furniture. Louise, the Front Desk Manager dealt with our request and we... More

I found this hotel on Priceline.com. It's the first time I had ever booked a non-refundable stay at a hotel without knowing what I was getting! Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the photos online and even more pleased when I saw the hotel in person. It was a gorgeous, historical, architectural gem that was once a bank... I got a good price and the room was clean and modern, so my review does not suggest going elsewhere. But ... upon arrival at about 8 pm, I called for the shuttle, as their web page says to do. I was told the shuttle would be there in about 15 minutes--from a hotel that is 5 minutes from the... More

The only reason I didn't put all five ratings is because the rooms are not luxury rooms. They are rooms you expect at a Courtyard, but everything else leads you to believe you are staying in a much nicer hotel. The staff was fabulous. There was one exceptional gentleman who worked at the desk in the evening/through the night. On... More

First of all the staff at the Courtyard are wonderful. Incredibly helpful and very welcoming. Second, you can't beat this location for a reasonably priced hotel in DC close to the tourist attractions. The Spy Museum and the Reynolds Center for American Art are across the street. The hotel is about five blocks from the Mall, making it an ideal... More

This is a hotel you choose because of its wonderful location and if you can get a good rate. We stayed here for a convention on our marriott points. First the staff-they were great. Friendly, helpful, always with a smile. The hotel is an old converted bank-office building. Great architecture on the outside. The inside is a bit worn. Do... More

I associate Marriott more with vacations than business travels, but was booked here for a business trip and was impressed. On business, I want a quiet place to work if I need to get some things done in my room, a decent chair and desk, and friendly staff. Checks on all of this. I asked for a quiet room and... More

Stayed at the Courtyard in September to attend a family wedding. The building is historic in that it is a retrofitted bank with the lobby and reception area still reminiscent of its original use. Checkin was a breeze and the staff was terrific. Great luggage assistance and guidance with finding nearby locations. It is right down a block and across... More

I forgot to get the young man's name who helped me with my car issues and parking. I was not used to driving and parking in DC and he was very helpful and answered all my questions, without any suggestion that I should have really known what I was doing just a bit more than I did. I really love... More
