I was here for CPAC, so I was able to get an excellent rate for the whole trip (including hotel rate). This is a very nice hotel and was perfect for the conference. It certainly has a very business-y feel. The little Starbucks-type joint they have inside is super overpriced, but what's new? There is also a pub attached to... more

I have had to stay at this hotel twice in the past year, because of a conference being held there--it's definitely a conference or convention hotel. As a result, everything about it is generic, impersonal, and uninspiring, with mediocrity its understood standard. The rooms are clean enough, although noise from the hallway can be a problem (place towels at the... more

The Marriott Wardman Park is a very large hotel aimed at conferences and conventions, which means it's possible to find bargains in room prices on websites like Priceline. I stayed there recently for $80 a night, which is considerably cheaper than the published room rates on the hotel's website. It's in a good location for D.C.-bound travelers with easy access... more

The hotel looks great with a nicely tricked out lobby and welcoming lobby bar. The staff was extremely pleasant. I stayed in the center tower which i learned had been recently renovated. The room was very nice and up to the Marriott decor standard. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin. I cant recall the last time i stayed in a... more

I stayed in this hotel for a conference and I will never stay in another Marriott because the service was so appalling. The staff lost my booking for the first half of my stay (and then charged me as a no-show). They were sullen, surly, rude and disrespectful. Rooms were not cleaned each day. Any inquiries were met with rude... more

It's clean. Staff is really lovely. Gigantic place so get ready to walk a good 10 minutes from the meeting rooms to your room. Absolutely no personality. more

This historic Washington hotel offers beauty and comfort along with the historic touches. The rooms in the Wardman tower are the historic rooms, offering smaller closets and smaller bathrooms, but adequate for a short stay. The federal style furnishings add elegance to the spacious room. Pillow preferences were addressed quickly, as were some small maintenance issues. Well equipped fitness center... more

This hotel isn't bad, but it is very overpriced. I don't imagine DC is a very cheap place, but still - I've stayed in hotels that were simultaneously both nicer and cheaper in other expensive areas (e.g., in downtown San Francisco and in Nice - including the awful exchange rate). This Marriott has no internet access in the rooms, unless... more

My fiancee went to college in DC and has relatives there, so we go down a few times a year, and we'll return to the Wardman Park Marriott, assuming we don't find any specials in better locations. And that's my main problem with this hotel--location. We drove to DC, but we prefer to take transit once we arrive, and though... more
