My husband and I took the 3 boys to visit our nation's capital, and we stayed at the Fairmont on the corner of 24th and M Street. We asked for and got adjoining rooms, one with two queen beds for the boys, and one with a king for us. It makes such a difference to be able to keep that... More

It was a nice experience to stay in the Fairmont Washington DC in Aug 2014. The staff and ambiance were all amazing. We had a suite with a kitchen and dining connected to another room where my daughters were in, Sadly there was no view only of the courtyard and a lot of construction was going on at that time.... I travel to DC often for work reasons. When available, I always stay at the Fairmont. Rooms are large, staff is incredibly nice and it is generally quiet (although there is some construction going on right now, so beware). Drawbacks are that decor is a little dated and the room service is obscenely expensive. But, all in all, a great... More

Whenever we are in DC we go back and forth between Hyatt and Fairmont. Almost forgot how great Fairmont is. Lobby itself is lovely with live entertainment and service is great! Rooms are large and comfortable although there is a slight shortage of outlets. Some issues with housekeeping showing up late but I feel like that is common in hotels.... More

We were here for a wedding in August. The hotel was clean and the the staff was very friendly. The hotel is in the middle of Georgetown. The best part were the shower heads. Best shower I have had in years. I would recommend one night just for the shower. Worth the $250.

Were staying in the hotel now. This morning the construction noise started at 10 am in the room above us which is very annoying. Continuous Bang Bang .. I guess its a good time to explore the city but would have liked to enjoy my rest as we had a late night. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

I want to find out the name of the mattress because it was the best sleep I had in years. It was a bit of a walk to the Museums but not far from the White House. There are some nice restaurants and outside cafes.

i recently stayed for one night at the Fairmont and found the hotel to be very good, with just one minor niggle. The pros: - Very good location and pretty much walking distance (a bit long) to all the major sights in DC. - The rooms were very large and spacious and very well doen up with all modern amentiies.... From the moment we arrived until checking out The Fairmont Washington was wonderful. It was clean and beds very comfortable. The service from the staff was outstanding. The piano playing in the Lobby was yet another plus. Would recommend without reservation. The renovations being done did not bother us.

The Fairmont is conviniently located and a great hotel. You can't beat the location for it's proximity to Georgetown and all the major sites to see in D.C. The room is comfortable and clean. For the price paid, this is an excellent option when visiting D.C.
