My wife and I stayed at The Fairmont for 2 days during a fly drive holiday through Virginia. We wanted to visit Washington for the first time and having travelled from the UK wanted to play safe by staying in a top class hotel. We have stayed in Fairmonts on numerous occassions nad have never been disappointed - this was no... more

I have already started recommending this hotel to everyone I know. Not only is the hotel beautiful and warm, the staff is amazing. Everyone is very friendly and made me feel very welcome. My room was gorgeous and very clean, the food at the restaurant was wonderful. The hotel is a walk away from Georgetown which i loved. I enjoyed... more

The Farimont Washington is a very nice hotel, located close to Georgetown, in a nice area. It is also a 20 min walk from the main attractions (Capitol, White House). Our room was very comfortable, spacious and big, with a nice (and comfy bed), a sitting area and a desk. Very tasteful decoration. The service was OK, although we didn't... more

We had two nights to spend in Washington DC on the way home from a trip to Las Vegas. Wanted something well-located, and picked the Fairmont because of the good reviews on Tripadvisor, and having had a good experience at the Fairmont Boston a few years ago. Excellent choice. The hotel is well located, being a short walk to Georgetown,... more

We are Fairmont President's club members, and were using annual coupons to get an upgrade from regular room rate to a suite. When we arrived, we were told to check in to the Gold Floor (9th floor), which surprised us. Not only had we received the basic suite coupon upgrade, they upgraded us to one of the best suites in... more

This is my 2nd time to DC for an extended stay, but the first time with my wife and 11 year old. We arrived the last week in March, first of April and were lucky to hit the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom! (By the way, if you are ever interested in DC and can hit the city at this... more

We checked in late at night after a really long delayed journey from the UK and were really pleased with this great hotel. We booked through an internet travel company and got quite a good price compared to the rate advertised on the hotel site. We were in Washington to cram as much sight-seeing in as we could in the... more

The service at this hotle was amazing- they offered complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby. Upon seeing that someone wanted a hot chocolate, a waited rushed off and returned with a cup of it within a minute or two. This was excellent service! The lobby and gardens are one of the best features in this hotel and make it... more

Right in the heart of the city with an easy walk to any of the capitol highlights. Really pleasing to see a chain hotel create a relaxed atmosphere in the heart of a major city. Rooms were as expected very well maintained and clean. Couldn't really ask for anything extra. Internet access was a bit pricy at $14 a day... more

An excellent hotel where almost everything is in tune. Competent , attentive staff, great rooms, comfortable beds. The location is a bit off-center, but it is in a very nice residential area. The only slight minus is the somewhat pricey restaurant which is good but nothing to write home about. more
